Yes. However, the models are a different product number with likely a few differences. Kids bikes are $20 cheaper in store, adults are about $50. No road bikes in store yet.

Called the Costco near me(brampton) and they dont have stock yet. Ask if she knew when, which replied soon, but wasn't 100% on the dates. I got one last year in mid march(was defective though)

Vaughan
Posted this in another thread. Was there at 9:15AM.

Just got back from Costco Vaughan @400/7 and they had the Northrock 24 inch kids version in stock for $280 (1457888). There were about 10. There was also another brand called Carrera 20inch for $220 (1465399).

I picked up a CTM at the Heritage location. They had the fat bikes as well. That location did not have the pedals installed to prevent people from riding around in the store (that's what the manager said). It was an easy enough process to install it. I had to align the stem a bit and adjust the position of the shifters on the handle bars a bit. Now I just have to wait for the snow to go away Grinning Face With Smiling Eyes

are you sure its not a dark dark matte blue? - I got the xcw for the missus same as you and thought it looked black as well - but when you have some light and compare it to the black handlebars on the bike - they are a different colour and there is definitely a bluish tinge to the frame.

definately black. It looks like a mans bike.

XCW are usually nicer colors except this year for some reason

Measure your inseam and get measurements from the website if they have it.

Looking at the picture, I would much rather have shorter legs...

Just an FYI for people considering the XC29: it doesn't have great/modern geometry for a 29er. It's good mainly for people with pant inseam > 32" who intend to ride straight on flat terrain. Even then, there are better options.

The XC29 has a high standover height (your crotch will touch the bar if your inseam is 30" or less.) and a short wheelbase (foot will likely strike the front tire when turning + less stable overall). With the high centre of gravity + short wheelbase I would be more wary of going over the handlebars when heading downhill.

(The well-proportioned Northrock XC27 doesn't have these issues.)

I put this comparative graphic together in 2019 to helpfully illustrate the difference between the XC29 and a similar bike with better/more modern geometry. I went with the GT Avalanche Comp at Sport Chek-- better geometry, better components (hydraulic disc brakes, Deore derailleur), and 1 free year of service, for only a little more money when on sale. 3500 km later, I'm glad I did; it rides like a dream and I enjoy every minute!

Hope this helps others make more informed decisions. :)
