Was looking at vacuums recently, and this model seems to be very well reviewed. You get a sealed system and a hepa filter for a pretty low price, and this is an old/reliable model, so you should be good for a long time.

I ended up buying something else, but at this price, this is tough to beat.

Bought one a few months ago and are pretty happy with it. The cord is a bit short, as is the hose. The design is pretty well thought out, and is recommended by Consumer Reports. Like other bagless vacuums, I find it works its best when the filters are changed/cleaned regularly and the canister is cleaned out thoroughly , not just dumped, I use a 1 inch paint brush.
Had ours 9 months use it every day (2 dogs) . A good vacuum at a good price.

A good vacuum at an excellent price.
We returned ours last week (few months after we purchased it for $199+tax, I believe), because we got one following RFD thread about APEX UpLight, for just under $200, received last week. We find the Apex UpLight working a bit better for us, on hardwood floors mostly... But the offer from Costco it's a good deal, anyway. It depends what works best for you...
