[Costco] Panasonic SR-ZE185 10 Cup Rice Cooker $99.97

I saw the amazon and walmart thread of the Zojirushi rice cooker for 150 last week.
And i used the, ' buy now think later' method and bought it.

I noticed Costco has these for 99.97. Because it is a*97, it is going to be YMMV
This is confirmed in VICTORIA
Sorry if repost

I bought the Zojirushi for 140$ too. I haven't used it yet.
Anyone have experience with the Panasonic?

I'm in the same boat but have no plans to switch-out. I think the Zojirushi carries much more recognition as a solid, reliable dedicated rice cooker.

OP, I can't see in the photo -- is the Panny MIJ, MIC, or MI?

Thanks,
E

It's this model here: https://www.amazon.ca/Panasonic-SR-ZE18 ... B01A8YLRKO

Panasonic SR-ZE185 10 Cup (Uncooked) Micom Rice Cooker

Does that help answer your question?

Thanks. Doesn't say (not even on Panasonic's website) so I suspect it's not MIJ.

Also no retractable cord for those that care (like myself).

No problem seeing the pic here. Sometimes on mobile it doesn't show up.

It is definitely made in

I bought the Costco Panasonic one before, it was a joke as a rice cooker, ended up returned it in one week.
The keep warm function in my Panasonic was weird, rice will become fried rice after over night keeping warm. Also, the rice cooking is not as good as my older Tiger.
Just my previous experience.

We cook rice all of the time but I have the worst luck cooking parboiled rice.
Can I use parboiled with this? What type of rices?
Zojirushi vs Panasonic?
