[Costco] Paramount Venturi Spiral Flame Propane Patio Heater

Canada day sale expires today. This is currently selling for 375 in store and has a good review online too.

Just finished my backyard and set up the Gazebo. I'm thinking this would be a good addition to any patio.

I have toddlers at home so would it be a problem to have it around small kids? Anybody has personal experience with this?

Thanks!

I wonder if it’s hot to touch on the exterior? Anyone know?

Exterior where the flame is coming out and is supposed to emit heat? I would assume so....

Have one from clearance a couple years ago for home depot for 249 ish. Nice on spring and fall evenings always get comments on the flame. Kinda regretted not having 2....and at plus 37 today it makes it really hard to justify, but I dont want to resist! :)

Oh, yea it gets hot. glass and top. Bottom where the propane is is fine...thankfully :)

For someone who owns this heater, how long approximately would a 20lb tank of propane last?

what if you want to return it if you don't like it for some reason? would they return $170 and voucher is lost?
I'm considering a rug, but don't want to use the voucher if I'll lose it in case if i don't like this rug and have to return it.

Id say 6 to 8 hours. Ive used it in a few couple hour stints with no need to fill. I have also contemplated converting to natural gas. Not willing to blow up the house yet.

I got this in copper from home depot 2 yrs ago for $199 on clearance. It's made pretty well and looks nice but doesnt heat well compared to the non glass ones. Heat radiates from top. 20lb tank lasts about 8 hours.

It's also shorter that other ones I got and less btu. Not sure if that's good or bad. It depends on how efficient the design is and if you like the height.

I have this under a glass over hang but dont know if that's safe. Theres 4 ft clearance.
