[Costco] Pokemon Cards 2 packs ($20) (Reg $32/pack)

$7 off this week. comes in 2 pack.

I know many kids that still love pokemon cards. I found some of my old pokemon cards and tried to battle with my friend's kids but......
NONE OF THEM know how to play...... They just collects the cards because it is pretty.

Is it just me or is that how kids are these days....

My eight year old twins collect and play against each other. There are a few kids in their class that collect but few that play.

Stupid auto correct...

I still have my collection from elementary school. No one at my school knew how to play back then either.

I think they had these around xmas, or immediately after. They have rotated so that is part of the reason they are a bit cheaper, still can be used in expanded. Mainly aimed at collectors and kids who think it is pretty.. The can learn to play playing pokemon tcg online, it includes a tutorial on how to play.

that's crazy. Everyone knows how to play in my era. I won several Charizards from battling the noobs.

yes, they have different ones in December. These are the new ones and I think $3 cheaper than the previous ones.

I and a bunch of friends all collected Pokemon Cards as a kid but only maybe a couple actually knew how to play. I never understood how to play as a young kid and never really bothered trying to learn. I was contempt with collecting but boy am I surprised at how much some of the older Pokemon cards sell for if in good condition. Really wish I ain't give them away.

Been buying packs here and there now for Nostalgic after visiting a Reddit section for Pokemon Cards. lol

Not all of them are shiny, but you'll end up getting one shiny card per pack from what I see. Certain rare cards are considered gx ultra shiny.

It's a really nice design when comparing it to the originals we grew up with.

The whole card is full shiny.

Back in the late 90's I used to play... against myself! Was always hard to find others to play against. Most friends were more into Magic the Gathering [which we also rarely ever played, since one deck would always be so much more powerful than the others].

At least with this two pack you should have two balanced decks.

EDIT: Does this package come with 2 playable decks? Or just random booster packs?
Something like this might be more enjoyable: 2 Starter Deck kit

Not to be that guy being technical, those are holo foil shiny cards from the Hidden Fates set only, other sets have holo foil and secret rare cards but the pokemon aren't shiny (they are their normal colour scheme.
