[Costco] Portable Butane Stove 10k BTU ($16.79) YMMV

Saw this at Barrhaven - even better than the $19 sale at Napa/PA last summer - if I hadn't bought one of those, I'd def get this. Big pile near the entrance.

cheers,

Butane cannisters can be purchased at most places that sell small propane cannisters (i.e. any hardware store as well as some grocery stores, Canadian Tire, etc.)

Any of these in BC? I mean, if they were, they'd be sold out in minutes.

How long does the butane tank last looks like it will take a small one ? Can we convert them to take a bigger cannister?

You can't because of size limitations, althought you could probably get a hose and have the tank outside, but then whats the point

These are pretty decent, took one on a trip to iceland with me, cannisters were quite easy to find there, but it took a lot longer to heat up compared to a regular stove but still worked! unless there is wind, that made it take longer.

I am not to sure what the BTU was for the one I took, but these are still great!

Any guys out there that have a girlfriend, buy one of these! Easiest way to cook breakfast in a park or even before going out on a hike tailgating. She will love it. Less then $30 to buy everything you need including the food lol. Can’t go wrong with a happy loved one honestly

I was using this to make some fried eggs yesterday in the backyard (so the house doesn't smell) ...

Anyone use one of these indoors? Does it give off a gas smell or best not to use inside?

Yes we use this butane stove all the time indoors to do Hot Pot. No gas smell.

Also amazing stoves for emergency situations like power outage or camping trips.
