Absolutely. Use it with PS4 Pro and love it. Good HDR and low input lag. Wide color gamut and full array local dimming zones. It's no Sony X900H but that TV is 65" for $1599 and main marketable difference there is the 120hz panel (that won't actually be 120hz until an update in the coming months).

Depends. If you have no interest in spending more than $500 for a 55", then there won't be much in competition with this for a long time. Same with 65" at $649. If you can spend a bit more then sure.

Hate the soap opera effect "action smoothing", need to turn it off for every picture mode.
Yeah mine goes away for a couple months but comes back for some reason. But no idea why. I think it's a glitch with an app I use.

That is the 4 series. An entry level TV. For main consumer TVs TCL has the 4 series, 5 series and 6 series (there is an 8 series as well but isn't worth the money). So you're comparing an entry level model to TCL's highest end model (outside of the 8 series).

Good catch man.
No lol. That TV is quite bad compared to the one in the OP. No full array local dimming, no HDR, no wide color gamut. These are the premium features you get with the 6 series.

No, it isn't a good catch. Stop doubting this deal.

This is the 2020 6-series: https://www.amazon.ca/TCL-Dolby-Vision- ... 08852357P/

And yeah, the 2020 model is better for gaming with 120HZ and VRR: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/tcl/6 ... -r635-2020

Yes it will be great for ps5 or xbox series x.

Only thing it does not support is 4k 120hz (hdmi 2.1)

I am fine with that as i think 4k 60 is plenty for next gen consoles.

I have alienware curved monitor 120hz for pc gaming to go along with it.

Bought a ChangHong 55" 4K TV for $500 and slapped a Chromecast on it.. it's been 5 years since. I expect TV prices to drop but it seems like they haven't.
