Bought from Costco a few days ago. Would they price match? I know the model number is different (65R613CA).

Size isn't everything, you get a lot more for $500 now. Brighter, local dimming, better HDR, Dolby Vision, etc.

Rtings says good input lag, but TV has no wide color gamut, no local dimming and no real HDR. The TCL 6 series beats it in every way.

People also need to realize that a 6.8 vs a 7.7 on rtings is quite a large margin. They don't really give TVs anything lower than a 6 or higher than an 8.5/9

I'm guessing this a joke, but for anyone wondering, yes... kind of. "Worth" is a hard term to quantify as we all have our own personal value of products. If I had $2k to spend on a TV with no worry it would effect me in anyway down the road financially? Absolutely. OLEDs are amazing. If you have the space for a projector though, I'd personally put that same money into a 4K projector because nothing is more engrossing than a 100"+ screen in my experience (I have a 100" 1080p Optoma I paid $600 for and I love it but the blacks aren't great so watching dark content on it is pretty bleh, and 4K would be a huge improvement at that size of screen). With the movie theatre business' future now in a questionable place, we will likely be watching even more new content at home. So a great TV or projector is a worthy investment, to me personally. If you play any competitive games on console though then I'd get an OLED, or maybe a monitor + projector.

If you aren't desperate for a TV now, I'd say wait. This deal is good/great, but might as well wait as it will likely hit this again if it hit it once.

Was debating whether to get 'another' tv. I guess I dodged a bullet on my wallet!

Weird... I placed an order for 65" and even got confirmation email. But now I check my orders and it's gone... I'm mad! Sent email to amazon, will see.

UPDATE: Ha, 65" is back, but at FULL price - $850

Really wanted the 55" but didn't let me schedule delivery. That was only available for the 65" for some reason.

55" just came available again - have to make sure you have only "TV" selected in the drop down box below the size selection
