[Costco] rayban RB8034K ultra limited edition $199- list $615 US

If you are a sunglass nerd, or just would like to treat yourself this is of interest. I was at the Victoria BC Costco looking at sunglasses when I found this. These are not the regular Caravan, but the limited edition. They are the glass p3+ lenses with 14k gold plated titanium frames made in Italy. There was a couple of gold and white gold in stock. They come with a hand made leather pouch. The lowest I have seen these before is the low $400 US range, so $200 CDN is a steal. I believe the stock # is 424178

I should add that there was only size 58, which is great for my big head.

Good price, thx. Has anyone called/checked Ottawa & Montreal stores yet?

Just to give a reference point, though this is a very good price, it seems like these have gone for USD$75-79 on Gilt and Nordstrom Rack before. Probably sold out in seconds on Gilt :)

Too bad they didn't have these at the london stores. I'm in the market for some ray bans.


Edit: Question. If I buy these at another Costco do you know if I could bring them in to my local store and have them order prescription lenses and put them in?

According to the RayBan link in the OP, the only lens available is "Polarized Gold Mirror". So yes.

considering the most basic mirror ray bans are $200+ nowadays in Canada, this one looks extremely hot if they use titanium + coated gold + special lens + handmade leather case.

On the web, there is also a polarized silver mirror in the same category, with white gold frames

I just called Costco and they don't do prescription lenses for this particular pair of glasses :(

Guess it's back to getting some ray ban aviators off clearly contacts

I own 2 x Randolph Engineering Sunglasses polarized and non polarized .. I would buy from them again. Sunglasses built like a tank... better than Oakleys

Costco Raybans are not bad too since they are limited edition and they matched the rayban website

Not as big as I thought they'd be. Kinda small and boxy for aviators.

I got white gold at Richmond costco. Didn't see Gold one there.
