Thx OP seems like a pretty good deal with the chime and prescription. I got the ring door bell 2 from home depot after price match with bestbuy for 190 after tax but this will be the better deal since I am going to need a subscription. Looks like I'll have to go refund the one from home depot.

I don't think that should happen. At least not in the summer.

yea, that doesn't sound right, I read other reviews that people should be able to get like at least a season on them, I will hardwired mine so for me battery life wouldn't be an issue. Also, costco return policy good for 1 year so let's see how this work out

For sure 5% a day is not tight. I've had mine for about 11 days now and it's at 82%. Mind you last week was freezing cold too.

Battery life also depends on how much you use it. Ring claims that the battery can last up to 6 months in warm weather if you only trigger the doorbell once or twice per day. But if you are constantly triggering the motion detection, activating full-power video recording mode, including at night with added infrared illumination, then it will drain power a lot faster. This often happens if the camera is pointed at a busy street and motion detection is not well adjusted yet.

+1

I've posted in other threads so my apologies for repeating. But Ring devices have lots of connection and delay issues. It's all on YouTube and forums.

Personally I also have it (stickup cameras) and it's horrible. It's unusable or unreliable. I click live view. Nope! Cannot connect. What's the point? I've phoned Ring tech support like 10x now. Even when camera is 2 feet away from my router and my phone. Still isn't 100% able to connect to live view.

I was on vacation recently and yup there it is, a black screen on live view. Wonderful.

Waste of my $500 (2 stickup cameras, 1 doorbell, 1 chime)

Having to pay for a subscription really kills my love for this.

According to the Ring 2's site it shows it as hardwired or battery-operated.
Can this be hardwired as an option, as I see most discussions I've seen for it having people discussing battery performance/cold weather impact to the performance.

Anyone know if this deal is still on? I just installed the original and the motion detection sucks. It wasn't detecting me walking right by it with a coat on. Took coat off walked by and it detected me. So I cranked all motion detection up to the max. Haven't walked by it yet since then. But It does detect every time the neighbor goes in and out and a when I car drives by. Model 2 is supposed to be better at that.

Edit: it's valid till March 18, at least at the Costco i went to in Edmonton
