yea, that doesn't sound right, I read other reviews that people should be able to get like at least a season on them, I will hardwired mine so for me battery life wouldn't be an issue. Also, costco return policy good for 1 year so let's see how this work out

For sure 5% a day is not tight. I've had mine for about 11 days now and it's at 82%.
