Just went to Costco S Mississauga. Got offered the following:

$700 each for 2 iPhone XS 64gb = $1400

$69.50 first line + 49.50 second line - Can only with 5+5GB
2x$35 activation charges

2x$600 credits
2x$200 costco gift cards

They said the plan above does NOT come with visual voicemail. This is $5 extra per line per month. Can anyone confirm if they got visual vm included?

They didn't have any iPhone XS 64gb in stock....so I couldn't sign up anyway. They said they get stock on business days - so I guess Dec 31 or Jan 2 are the last 2 days (maybe jan 3)?

Is the above a good deal?

Gee wrote: Here is my current small business plan with Rogers. Have had this plan for a long time. It is a Bring Your Own Device plan and I have always purchased my phones out right.

Unlimited Canada / US Wide Calling
Canada and US SMS / MMS
4 Gigs Data Shared
Value Pack (Enhanced Voice Mail, includes Voice Mail to SMS)

Costs:

Primary Line: $112
Second Line: $42
Third Line: $42
Fourth Line: $42

Current Cost: $238

Additional Data is $10 per 2 Gigs

We typically use 10 Gigs a month, but I keep the data plan at 4 Gigs because it is basically $5 per additional Gig (sold at 2 Gig increments) and there is no limit.

Also have 2 Fido Tablet plans at $15 per month (3 Gig Plan)
I finally got to talk to a rep after a 30 minute wait at Costco. Here is what I was offered

Bell small business migration plan

Unlimited Canada / US Calling
15 Gigs of shared data between all the lines

$91 - First Line
$55.50 - Second Line
$55.50 - Third Line
$55.50 - Fourth Line

$7 per line if I want voice mail to SMS
Data overage is $10 per 250 Megs

$300 - Port in Credit per Line
$50 - Phone credit per line

$1400 - Total credits

$19.95 - iPhone 8 or Samsung S8
$25 - Costco Gift Card per phone (They are basically paying me $2.55 to take the phones)

From my point of view, I am better off with my current plan

got a question to the following:

"2 lines x smartab
$103.50 / 10GB for 2 lines
$600 port in credits"

is that 10gb shared among 2 lines? or 10gb each?

if i want note 9, does it mean i can't go with smartab? i have to go with ultratab? ie. the 15gb plan?

10gb is shared.

You would just pay more for the note 9 with smartab vs ultra tab.

naticom wrote: I have some questions for you guys

1. On my contract it says $4.5 off additional line (if eligible) but it does not apply to my second line. Is that right?
2. When I logged into my Bell shared data is only 5gb instead of 10gb. Is it correct?
1. I was told it applies to second line
2. It takes a day or two to show up the total data if you have more than the 5gb. I thought the same thing but saw it fully after 2 days.

Wow, what a hot deal. SUPER happy with what I got:

Line 1 - $67.50, 5gb
Line 2 - $49.50, 5gb + US calling

- 2 iPhone XR 64gb for $328 each
- 2 screen protector
- 2 car charger
- 1 XR case
- 1 apple care, $75

$600 per line bill credit + $200 per phone costco card

Had to pay for the screen protectors and case with an extra $100 costco card. Apple care was $175 - $100 costco card.

Currently paying $160/month for mine and my wife's phones with 10GB shared data and $35/month for my daughter's basic plan for a total of $195/month.
My wife and I were already on the small business plan. My oldest daughter was on a basic Virgin plan ($35/month, unlimited text, 300 minutes talk and no data) and we needed to add my other daughter to the plan as well.

I went to Costco on Boxing Day and got the following deal. I was already on a small business plan, so I couldn't get the port credits.

$215.00/month

4x Galaxy S9.
15 GB data shared.
My wife's line is unlimited talk as she uses it for business. The 3 other lines are 300 minutes per month, free from 5PM-7AM and weekends. Unlimited calling between the 4 phones.
Unlimited text.
Unlimited Canada-US calling.
$150 credit to cover the 4x $35 activation fees.
$50 credit for each line for accessories. If you don't use the credits up, they are lost. We opted for phone cases and chargers.
Full warranty coverage for each phone at $60 each, down from $225 I'm told. A credit was applied to cover the warranty for each phone, but I don't recall the exact amount.
$1700 in Costco gift cards total. It was funny as hell watching them count out 68 x $25 GCs and then having to count them back to me. The cashier had a great time entering them one at a time as well. :-)

Total to pay was $134.21 after all credits applied.

I am now paying $20 per month more for another line with data plus data on a line that previously didn't include it.

These Costco deals are very confusing. Looks like everyone is getting a different deal, depending on the location!
I went to Costco Markham (Markham and 14th) and was offered only $200 towards the phone and $100 in GC :O

My wife and me are all with Koodo
Each line: $75 with unlimited calls to Canada, unlimited global text, 15G LTE data and 2000 international long distance call.
I am not sure if we better to switch or not. Any suggestions? I have iPhone 7s and my wife p20 pro.

Final deal I got in Langley
Decided to add a 3rd line as 13gb is more than enough for our 3 lines

Plan:

181 a month - 13gb
1700 dollars in port credits
Avg monthly price over 24 months per line : $36.72

Got 975 in cash card for phones and extras, accounting for that in phone calculations

Phones:

Note 9 - 200 upfront and half off warranty for $100
IPhone X- same as above
S9+ - 0 upfront (well actually tax on 200)

Threw in a couple car chargers plus a screen protector and a Bluetooth headset.

Great deal!

I was able to refund all my accessories and warranties that they tricked me into buying. I first went to the customer service counter but was told I would have to do the return at the wireless kiosk. I told her I didn't want to have to wait in line again and asked for her manager. The manager walked me over to the wirelesss manager so I did not have to wait in line. I told him what one of his employees did and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about even though I just saw him scam another customer while I was waiting for him to complete his current transaction. I just told him that I won't make a stink about it if he just refunded my money. Other customers around me were already listening to me at this point. When I left the store, I filled out the comment card to let management know that the wireless kiosk is engaging in unethical behaviour that could harm Costco's reputation.

FYI for Surrey people, Stock in most places is getting really low. Iphones xs is def gone, places like Abbotsford which are farther out, still have a decent selection.

Rogers:
Line 1 = $81 5gb + 5gb
Line 2 + $39 5gb

400 port in credit + 200 activation credit

iPhone 8: $47 upfront cost ($150 returned in Rogers credits)
Galaxy S9: $0 (sorry don't know upfront cost and credits on this phone)

Costco Cash Cards - $250 for iPhone, do not know for S9 (should be $150-$250), if they do not force you to buy accessories.
