[Costco] Samsung QN75Q60A 75" QLED - $1349

Costco had this TV at the East Hills Calgary location for $1349.

https://www.costco.ca/samsung-75-in.-sm ... rovince=AB

Sold out online, but cheaper and had at least 8 in the warehouse yesterday morning. Seems to be a good tv, ratings are good for it as well.

Almost picked one up but literally just bought the inspire fitness trainer.

FYI model 60 is an entry level. If lighting or contrast is important to you then consider better model. Or the OLED. Obviously they are more expensive.

We pretty much watch 4k Netflix or 4k content on my Plex server in our basement theater room via Google TV. Looked pretty in the store but I'm not an expert by any means. If the RFD community thinks it's a good buy, I could be convinced to pick it up, if not, this post is there for those who are interested in it. :)

Not every TV has to be 9.0+, especially not 75" at that price
Didn't say every TV has to be a 9.0+, was only stating the review and link to help others see the details and decide. There is lots of competition in the 75" range around this price point, Sony, Hisense, TCL, etc. It's all based on your needs, I guess I shouldn't of used the word "only".

Pretty good deal if you can fit a 75" TV in your car, last year's models are getting hard to find and this year's aren't that big of an improvement. I bought the 70" last August from Costco online for $1398. It's been working beautifully wall mounted in my living room which gets lots of daytime sunlight. The days of entry level $300 TVs are gone and as long as the ports & limitations are ok with your situation, this is a more than fine TV.

Have your upvote OP, all the OLED fanboys are downvotin you hard...their silver bullet favorite child Sony/LG OLED 77"? Only FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS (of course it's better, it's 3x the price). I put the difference in XEI and it's been growing nicely.

No local dimming? Ehhhhhhhhh.

Not really impressed with Samsung’s lineup for the last couple years. Anyone else?

Nope it doesn't. But for the exact same price you can get the Hisense U68G 75" which scores an 8.0 and has local dimming AND Dolby Vision. and gets slightly brighter in HDR.

Beware the opinions. There are objective evaluations and there are subjective evaluations.

Don't believe anyone when it comes to picture quality because it is subjective. The people making comments about this not being OLED, lacking local dimming, etc. are not the people who are paying for this TV and certainly won't be the one sitting in your house watching your TV. If you are happy with the picture quality for the money you've paid for it, then that is the only opinion you need to believe. Some people have "golden eyes" when it comes to TVs and can tell the difference between a $1400 TV and a $2500 TV. If they are willing to part with their money for that "extra", that is their prerogative. But if you can't tell the difference, then why pay for it? Even if you can see the difference in a more expensive TV, is it worth extra $1000? When evaluating subjective matters, there are no experts. You are your own "expert". I'm saying this as someone who used to have "golden ears" and got $$$ audio speakers/amps instead of buying Bitcoins when these were $400. After 5 years, the speakers/amps are worth less than 50% what I paid for it. I just chalk it up to opportunity cost/cost of education.

I'm here enjoying my RCA that I got for $549. Still can't believe how good cheap tv's are and how picky tv snobs can be. I understand that if you have the money and like to have the best money can buy an OLED looks amazing, but those who are spending 3x less are not really suffering either.

Totally agree!
I believe it's a great pick for someone who wants more than a basic 4K tv, but do not want to buy OLEDs. I was contemplating this vs a normal LG 4K TV, and ended up with the LG because it looked better to "MY" eyes.
The last I saw this was in a Toronto Costco for 1248$ in Dec 2021.

how this is a deal when there's QLED panel with same size made by well known manufacturers?

why would you buy this with unknown panel quality combined with a firestick on it?
