[Costco] Seville heavy duty shelving unit - 6 shelves ($119.99)

Been watching this shelving unit to go on sale and it finally has! Found a thread last year where this was on sale for $130, now it actually is a bit cheaper surprisingly.

Few main reasons why I am interested in this shelving unit over the others at Costco:

- heavy duty (max weight of 800lbs per shelf)
- has wheels for maneuverability and would allow for more flexibility on where you can put them to maximize space saving
- not too expensive, comparable to the cheaper gorilla shelving unit that Costco carries

I see other retailers selling this for much more:
- amazon on sale for $219.95 (reg $274.90)
- Seville $189.99 usd
- way fair $251.68

Seems like a solid buy at this price, I plan to grab a couple this weekend. Any rfders have feedback on these units?

Also curious about feedback. We need shelving for our cold room as well as the home gym I'm building. Would store canned goods as well as gym equipment (everything but weights such as barbells, dumbbells).

I already have three Amazon racks (6 tier that went on sales for $55 about 18 months ago), but thinking they're both not heavy duty enough but also not enough storage.

Tx for finding op!

Have had one in my garage for a while, handy to be able to reposition easy as things come in and out through the seasons.

Haven’t really stored bins on it so can’t comment on which will fit. I mostly just throw crap on there to get it out of the way, maybe once I put together that Torin set I’ll finally clean/organize the garage.

Agreed with the rest. Very solid and much better than the plastic ones.

We have both the Amazon and these Costco Seville racks. We store canned goods and tools on our Costco ones. I would think the Costco racks are well suited for gym equipment and some light weights. The wheels are nice too for moving the racka around.

The Amazon ones stay in the laundry room.

I use these without the wheels, for a dry pantry. Properly assembled, they hold a lot of weight and are stable. The only issue is finding something to flatten the shelving surface. The roll up shelving liners work OK but not great.

Tx this helps. I think we'll buy 4-5 of them. We have space in the cold room as it currently stands. I can always repurpose one or two for the gym. And maybe even the garage.

These two features are mutually exclusive. The wheels are not rated for the full 4800lb.

Love the wheel option. I use 2 rows of 2 of them in my basement for storage. It's so easy to move the front row forward to access the row behind then simply push them back afterwards to reclaim the floor space.

Without the wheels, I find these https://www.costco.ca/gorilla-rack-heav ... 74562.html are a better choice, and come on sale in the warehouse regularly for $99. I have 2 of these in my cold room, and because we don't have to move them they work great and already have a flat surface.

99-119 was the normal price 2 years ago. 169$ is just downright crazy. we have like 25 of these at work and they withstand a lot of weight and abuse. use bigger and stiffer wheels if you roll it a lot.

I don't know how long OP has been waiting for these to go on sale but I have had a screenshot of the price drop from May 30, 2022 when the price on these was $129.99.
Every week I visit Costco I go through the aisle to see if the price (magically) drops from the regular $179.99
Imagine my happiness when I found them in the savings booklet on an IG page.
Grabbed one on Monday.

Gonna return the Gorilla Rack I bought a couple of weeks back. Dragging that thing around was a PITA.
Do you need it or do you want it?

The biggest thing to be aware of about these shelves, is that once you buy 1... you won't stop at just 1.
Be prepared to end up buying more in the future (unless your physically are out of space, I suppose)

The metal frames are very sturdy and the ability to move it around is a huge plus, IMO.

I bought one many moons back. If I recall correctly Costco had it for $90 on sale back then. Very sturdy and easy assembly. It holds a lot of stuff, you won’t regret OP!

Very very good shelf.

I bought online for $149 just last week, I am already very stratify with the quality by that price.
Is very sturdy, easy to move, or stand steal, and all level heights are adjustable.
And it is super easy too install, I just need 20 minutes to install one shelf ( include open package, move pieces to basement, install, and clean up).
I don't understand why some wired online reviews ( on other weibsites) saying it is hard to install, you don't even need to read the instruction.

For $119, I'm going to buy 2 more at warehouse tomorrow.
