[Costco] Sign Up for a New Membership and Get a $20 Voucher

If you've been thinking about getting a Costco membership, this might be the deal for you! Today through December 10, you'll get a $20.00 voucher to use online at Costco.ca when you sign up for a new membership and use promo code REDFLAG18. The online voucher is valid until February 28, 2018, and it must be used in one single transaction greater than $20.00.

The promo code is entered on the last page of the checkout with your payment information. You'll need to click "Enter Promo Code" on your order summary to make the coupon code field display. When promo code is correctly applied, it will show that $0.01 has been taken off your purchase total. The checkout screen doesn't mention the $20.00 RedFlagDeals.com-exclusive bonus, but your online voucher will be sent by email within two weeks.

Here's the fine print: this offer is for new members or memberships that have been expired for more than 18 months. Offer only available online on Costco.ca, expires December 10, 2017 and may not be combined with any other offers. Receive a $20 online voucher for your next purchase on Costco.ca when purchasing a new Gold Star or Executive Membership on Costco.ca. A $20 online voucher Promo Code will be sent to the member’s email address within 2 weeks of the successful completion of the signup process. The online voucher is valid until February 28, 2018. The online voucher code must be used in one (1) single transaction greater than $20, before taxes, applicable fees and shipping, unless applicable fees and/or standard shipping are included in the quoted price. Offer not valid for Costco purchases made in warehouse, on Costcobusinesscentre.ca or on purchases of Costco Cash Cards, travel, tires, memberships, or membership renewals. Only Costco members in good standing may take advantage of this offer. This offer is only valid in Canada and on Costco.ca.

A Gold Star Membership is $60 per year (plus applicable taxes) and includes a FREE Spouse† card. An Executive Membership is $120 per year (plus applicable taxes) and includes a FREE Spouse† card.

† A Spouse refers to either a spouse or a family member 18 years of age or older living at the same address.

I've been thinking about purchasing a Costco membership as of late since there's one that's like 5 minutes away. Is there a better promotion that I should wait for as far as membership price goes?

Just got my 2 cineplex movie tickets and $10 cash card from last months promo - $20 cash card is still pretty decent though.

Signed up last year with this promo. Went to use my promo last week and didn't realize it expired in June and expected it to be good for a year. Disappointing but my fault for not reading closely. Make sure to use it before it expires!

I signed up last year on an Air Miles promotion. It expired earlier this month and I didn't bother to renew. I don't think I went through their checkout a single time in the whole year. Did pharmacy a few times (learned after buying the membership that you don't need to be a member to use the pharmacy). I got gas one time, and left line-ups twice due to how long it was taking (over 15 minutes).

Between the parking hassles, showing your card at the entrance, long line-ups, having to track down boxes, etc, it's just not worth it. Was there last Thursday and the line-ups were longest I've seen, getting past the aisles where its normally backed up to. Strangely enough, I actually got my pharmacy stuff in the least amount of time compared with the previous visits.

Costco has great customer support policies, but they have absolutely lousy service.
