75" 750 for 1299 a week ago, considering that this is a good deal.

To be honest, who would buy original price stuff anyways. Unless they get it for free.
Just wait until Blackfriday, it's only 3 weeks away.

Sony TVs have flicker free displays which are easier on the eyes. That's worth a premium compared to other brands.

This TV was $1600 and considered a Hot Deal in July so I'd deem this a good price.

I was looking at this tv too. Not much information about it on RFD. Rtings has it rated lower than the TCL 2020 5 series. Waiting for black friday. Will most likely buy a 75x800h or 75" TCL 2020 5 series or 75" Hisense Q8G. Which ever one has the best black friday deal.. hopefully from costco

In case someone was in the market for a 75" Sony TV would be my guess.
Hot or not, efforts are always appreciated IMO.
+1

PS- No need to be harsh

Black Friday is well within Costco's return policy. Is it worth the effort to return a 75" screen would be my concern

I thought it was obvious too +1

Unfortunately there's too much shaming going on here...

I've always had fantastic experiences w/ Sony.. Last purchase was maybe 2013... picked up a Sony 55hx751. Fantastic screen and still going strong as new....more than pleased.

Is the input lag much higher on this compared to the X900H? I know you're losing 4K 120 but how does 4K 60 compare ?

Also wondering how the 4K 60hz is and if this model is okay for gaming on the ps5 in terms. I'm coming from a 60" older Sony model from 2013 so anything in 2020 would be an upgrade.

800 series picture quality is not very good. If you’re looking at size only, this is good for you. TCL will be as good or better for cheaper price.

I know this as I compared and have an 85” 900 series. Yes I paid a crap load more for larger version

Rtings has it lower mainly because it is an IPS panel, so scores "poorly" for black levels, and therefore movies. But would have way, way better off angle viewing if that matters more to you, vs something like the TCL or just about any VA panel set. The newer Q80/Q90 series from Samsung and the 950 from Sony has the newer wider angle viewing technologies, albeit still at a bit of a black level performance hit and again, not as good off angle as an IPS panel, and prices jump considerably for those.

If you want excellent wide angle and black level, at the expense of some brightness and burn in risk (for those that don't believe in it, I can send you a pic of my B6 65" who's panel was replaced by LG this year because of it), get an OLED. Otherwise, pick your poison and your price.

If you don't understand contrast/black levels, IPS vs VA, etc. Just get the cheaper one, don't do any research, and enjoy. Ignorance can be bliss with this stuff vs analysis paralysis.
