[Costco] SportRack Crest 2 Locking Hitch Mounted bike rack $99.97 YMMV

Just came back from Costco (Ptbo location) and saw that they had a SportRack 2 bike, hitch mounted, locking rack on clearance for $99.97. These include locks for the mounted bikes and the rack to the hitch.

About 10 or so on the shelf when I saw, not in a discount section or anything, just the regular location near other automotive stuff.

Here's the link to SportRack's product info: https://canada.sportrack.com/product/crest-2-locking-2/ Regular price appears to be $299 according to that link.

Based on the 3rd pin, the link to the manufacturer, and the indication of: Center folds down for rear vehicle access and folds up when not in use

Yes. Image

This rack can't tilt at all. The center vertical arm which hold the frame of the bike can fold down to the back to access the tailgate without bike on them. The two arm on the side which hold the bike wheel can fold up without bike

Pretty sure what you've described is normally referred to as tilting

No, you need to remove the bike and fold down the centre. This is the same as the one in PrincessAuto which is less than $60

Buy it. It’s a good one for price but it’s chunky yo carry around when not in use.

More expensive ones like Thule if you are looking for platform one. Just get the one where you hang the bike, that one can always tilt without removing the bike

Saw this at Waterloo, ON location for same price. I purchased a few months ago at regular price and was able to get the difference back today. I have yet to use but should be using it soon enough.

Not quite, tilting allows the whole rack to shift backwards with the bikes on to access the rear hatch without removing the bikes. This rack doesn't do that.
