[Costco] TCL 65/75-in. 2020 5 Series 4K HDR Roku Smart TV 65S533CA $839/$1489 Online Shipped/65"/55"$789/$549 In Store

Costco just added the new 2020 65" TCL 5 Series online at $839. Seems to be 100+ units at least.
Correction 278 units available.
Usual Costco benefits 90 day return, 2 year warranty, add 3 years +$60, return shipping.

Trystee also reported seeing both in Costco stores in Alberta. YMMV on availability in other locations.
I haven't seen either size in ON, yet. Thanks.

2020 5 series vs 2018 6 series price is similar. What does rfd say?

The new 5 Series has QLED color, local dimming and has ALLM (aka Auto Game Mode which detects when a game console is attached and powered on, and seamlessly switches to the low-latency game mode without any futzing with the remote or settings menus), but not VRR. You'd want to look at 6 Series if that's important.

This years series 5 seems to be like last years 6 with some added features like QLED, auto low latency and 4 HDMI inputs. Curios to see some reviews.
Amazon charges $132 vs $60 from Costco for 5 year warranty, not to mention anytime we don't have to support Bezos is a good thing.
But agreed on your comments, 2020 5 Series appears to be a winner.

5 series or 6 series? Is it a huge jump between the 2020 versions?

Official TV series of RFD.

I can already feel the forum starting to flood as fellow RFD'ers mouths water over the launch of new 5 and 6 series.

Rumour has it that some have been patiently waiting throughout the entire pandemic, making do with their bathroom, basement or pet room TVs until this moment.

But still no relief in site, as now the greatest debate of RFD history begins... 2018 6 series vs. 2020 5 series?
