I'd like to get a nice mattress for my kids for their new bunk beds, but everything suggests I need to get a 6" height for the mattress. Most are too tall.

This is quite comfortable. Bought it for my daughter late-June (hopefully I can get a price adjustment). I bought her the Newsome (?) first, that was the one they had in the warehouse until about 2 months ago, but it seemed like the springs weren’t going to hold up. So I took it back and bought the Tahoe, much nicer.

How firm would you say it is? Is it coil? The one on costco.ca is $449, so I shouldn't assume it'll be that one. Thx

Yes, coil, but has a top padding layer too that’s stitched like a Euro-top. I believe it’s rated as “medium-firm” on the label, fairly accurate. I’d say it’s “comfortable firm” - firm and supportive but soft enough to still be comfortable.

Sorry, one last question. What's the rough height of it? 6", 8", 10", 11"? Friend is asking for their kid's bunk, but from picture, I'm assuming it's going to be too tall.

In the link the height is 23 cm.
Is that different mattress?

Saw a bunch at the Vaughan Costco today - Wanted to grab a couple to replace the crappy Haugesund on my kids' bunk bed.

How the hell does Costco expect me to take these home if I don't have an F150?
Do you need it or do you want it?

I have never bought a mattress from Costco before. I wonder if there is a way to test this in-store? I like my pillows and mattresses to be firm.

23cm is the height of the box spring, the mattress in the link is 26cm.

Rent a van for $20 at HD or Lowe's.

Pull one out and lay it on flat on the floor in front of the produce or bakery depending on where your Costco stacks them. You'll have about 2 minutes before someone tells you to move it. Winking Face
The only things you can try at Costco are coats, shoes and gloves and whatever samples they happen to have when you are there.

Bought today. Surprisingly firm but comfortable. My dtr is happy with it. Fit in a van no problem between the seats.

So it's $189 in store but $399 on the site?

It actually makes sense if you think about it. 399 plus tax on the website. Even though it was 189 in store, out the door I was 555 and only planned the mattress.

Get a regular mattress and if you're concerned, get a bed barrier

Looks to be that way. It says $50 off Aug 2nd to 29th, $399 down from $449. Looks like OP might have thought it was going to be the online price as well originally.
