According to myself, they are compatible. There are lots of Chinese phones with both QC and type C.
I have a Chinese power bank, with QC 3.0 input and output, and it has a micro usb and a type C input.

QC2.0/QC3.0 on the same connector/port as a USB-C connector means the connector is breaking USB-C specifications. That does NOT mean it doesn't work, just means it does not meet specifications. If you want to play it safe, avoid unless its a reputable brand. This is the first i heard of Udiolabs so really i wouldn't consider it above an unknown brand @ Amazon. Only difference is costco has a better return policy vs amazon (but really for a charger, return is the last thing i'm worried about...).

The information should still hold true. Benson is mostly famous because he's a google employee who decided to buy and test cables/chargers/etc from amazon (using his own money) and posting that information online. Basically someone who works in the area who decide to run tests on consumer products so his site was popular and often referred to. He hasn't done nearly as much testing or posting lately tho (nothing wrong with that, since he's doing this in his own time).SSNSSN wrote: ↑ I donot know who is Benson, but here is a phone with QC and type-C.

It seems the 2015 spec could not restrict 2017 phones, here is some other examples.Paigne wrote: ↑ The information should still hold true. Basically devices can state support for QC3 and type c but it does not mean the device meets usb-c specifications. If you want to play it safe, you're better off using PD vs QC. QC still will work, you are just operating out of usb-c specification. That does NOT mean it won't work... just some prefer to stay within specifications.

Again meeting specifications is not a requirement... its like a guideline. Just like cables inside your walls should meet CL3 specification but cables that dont meet it works just fine... the only catch is there is a fire, you probably wish you used CL3 rated cables in your walls. Note how many times i said it will work/doesnt mean it wont work?SSNSSN wrote: ↑ It seems the 2015 spec could not restrict 2017 phones, here is some other examples.

Spec wise, it should work. That said i recommend a powerbank since you could always charge that while on the go and it creates a buffer for your switch (in the sense if this charger or another charger is bad, at least you only killed a powerbank instead of your switch).

That seems like the right kit for the most part, but the ones in Canada do not include the micro USB adapters.zaporozhets wrote: ↑ https://www.costco.com/Ubio-Labs-USB-Ty ... 09285.html
