[Costco] UE Wonderboom Portable Bluetooth Speaker(Member Only Valid on June 29)

Spotted this in Costco Connection magazine.

For me it’s decent as a UE waterproof speaker goes around $60. Great for shower or backyard BBQ.

My only major complaint with this is the extremely loud on/off notification sounds that cannot be turned off.

Hot deal if wonderboom 2

You can turn off the notification sounds through the UE app.

It’s the first gen, not 2. They were in the warehouse for a while a few months ago.

The Sony SRSXB31, recommended by Wirecutter, was on sale for $140 at Staples two days ago. It’s now back to $200.

Any recommendations for waterproof Bluetooth speakers around the same point?

Someone below said the Sony is still available for $140 at Dell. It’s only been a few days, but I’ve been enjoying it quite a lot. Even the lights are neat, once you use a pretty mellow scheme.

Vote on the Sony too I like the lights and it's loud heavy bass can be turn on or off

Great! Thanks bud. OOS on the source online and locals. So I was about to buy from Costco. Saw your comment and got one from Crutchfield. Cost my 9$ more (compared to Costco) for a version 2 red one !

Seems like they only got the Bermuda blue color left.

Sound quality is definitely better than the older boom series ex) UE BOOM 2
You will realize a bit too much Bass EQ (Nothing like Bose Bass...but it’s noticeable...)

Please be aware...
  1. You cannot pair (Stereo) with other BOOM series
  2. There is no UE App for this version (No EQ/other settings)
  3. Really loud ON/OFF sounds
