This has the smell of an Ottawa/Quebec plan.

Nice. Specific store or anywhere?

EDIT: Also, is it loyalty only?

Honestly, I am just stating what was offered by the Costco kiosk in the Ottawa store when I asked for the current best plan for bring your own phone with between 4 and 10 GB of data.

I was surprised, because I would have expected that pricing for a Quebec plan, but not in Ontario with an Ontario number and Ontario residence. This deal does not exist on the Virgin Mobile Canada website.

Below is a screenshot of the Virgin Mobile "My Account" app where the plan details are presented.

It's because you're in Ottawa, right across the river from Gatineau. I don't think that Toronto will offer this - most likely restricted to Quebec or Ottawa area code.

Yes, that could be. I have no idea if the plan is available outside of Ottawa. Can anybody else comment? Are carriers offering deals that apply only to specific area codes in the province? Could be.

Yes, and Ottawa is Fizz territory so this plan is probably meant to help keep people from switching. There's no Fizz anywhere else in Ontario.
