[Costco] Vizio PQ65-F1 $1799

It appears the PQ65-F1 is back in stock. Looking at old threads this was popular and this price is cheaper than Black Friday. I know new models are coming out soon so YMMV. Seems like a decent price for a well rated TV.

The Sony X900F is the same price. I went back and forth but with the strength of the Costco warranty it helped alleviate the worries about poor QC with Vizio.

Can also use code AERO3 for 6000 aeroplan points.

I don't understand what happened with the introduction of this model in Canada... Barely any stock and kept on running out when it came in. To make things worse, it was usually the same price or higher than B7/B8 OLED. Glad I jumped on the London Drugs 65B7 at $2499 last year...

With the Samsung 2019 QLEDs out and impressing the pants off folks, I would pause on this purchase.

I just saw the Samsung 75" 8K QLED at Visions the other day, and I'm impressed. This is the 2020-era tech folks have been waiting for, and only $8,999 list.

All seriousness, the Samsung 2019 QLEDs are a sight, careful touching a 2018 until you've seen one.

Check out my humble thread on the Samsung 2019 QLED 4K 120HZ 43" TV usable as monitor:

So for quality/price any other to consider apart from the X900F?

I just saw the PQ series along with the Quantum X at a Best Buy event in the US...they both blew my mind...the PQX is available only in 75" so too big for me.
BUT...I'm gonna wait it out till the PQ65 comes down to the $1500 price point.
The image quality on both of them was amazing.

That being said.... the TCL S series is still the TV to beat if you're on a budget...(saw TCL too and extremely similar to the regular P series but less expensive).

I ordered one last week and returned it back to my local Costco on the same delivery day due to flickering.

Walmart has the 2019 Samsung TVs in stock.

The 43" Samsung RU7100 (2019) is $549 ($548 on Amazon.ca). Making it a good value for money purchase, as a monitor.
https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/ru7100
The RU7100 is a great TV for use as a PC monitor. It has a remarkably low input lag, and it is very responsive. Unfortunately, the viewing angles are poor, and you will lose image accuracy at the sides, especially if you sit up close. It can display proper chroma 4:4:4 in all supported resolutions, and this is great.
The viewing angle thing is a nill issue if you're viewing it at some distance (3ft in my experience).

The 43" Samsung Q60/Q60R is better as a monitor, but it's pitching north of $1,000.
https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/q60-q60r-qled
Very good TV for use as a PC monitor. It has an extremely fast response time and low input lag, which is great, but unfortunately, the image degrades when viewed at an angle. It supports most common input formats, and does not appear to be susceptible to temporary image retention or permanent burn-in.
The viewing angle thing is only an issue if you're sitting too close.

Don't do that.

Boxing Day 2019 should be good.

The PX is available in 65"

I own the PQ65 and can't recommend it enough. As mentioned above, some people report flickering, which Costco will exchange/refund for. Worth the time and effort if necessary, at this price point. Given how poor the PQ was launched in Canada with numerous delays, I can't imagine how long it will take for the 2019 models to hit Canada.

Where is the Sony 65" X900F for that price ($1800)? On costco.ca I see it as $2300, and I have never seen it available in any warehouse.

Contiplating getting this, but can't help to wonder, why did the 1999$ thread on BF have way better upvote, and this one with 200$ less but yet has close to no upvotes?

Did ppl learn something bad about the TV? is it not hot anymore?

I would say several reasons.

1. People are not hounding the forums in May looking for hot deals the same way they were back in November. Your average forum population I would say fluctuates based on time of year.
2. Around the holidays more people are willing to part with money for big ticket items. Paired with weather that forces more people to stay inside, TV's are a big sell that time of year. Going in to the summer months more are out an about.
3. Its now 6 months later and Vizio has a new line released that is better then the F (2018) series. This is really just a late to the game TV that was released over a year ago.

With all that in mind. Its a great TV.

Thank you, maybe if another model is coming in, will wait for the clear out for more savings as I don't need it this moment.
