[Costco] Vizio Quantum P659-G1 65-in. Smart 4K HDR LED TV 1099.99

Saw this at Barrhaven (Ottawa Costco). Saw four boxes on the floor. The best price was 999.97 in this thread here

Vizio makes amazing picture quality but make sure you take the extend warranty!
My P75-C1 died after only 2 years, hopefully i took the warranty, Assurion refunded all of it!

We loved that TV, picture was absolutely amazing...but Vizio never again!

This is a great deal for the p-series Vizio. Keep in mind the previous price of $999 nobody was able to get (I tried).

Instead I have an m65-d0 from 2015 and a px65-g1 from 2019. I would not hesitate on buying another vizio.

Saw this in Mississauga location, could not believe the deal.
And wife would not let my PPE off to check my phone :$

Now question is, this model better than 2020 TCL?

I have the 2019 M series and the TCL 6 series. Vizio A’s interface is painfully slow. Netflix takes about 20 seconds to launch vs maybe 2 seconds on ROKU.

I have heard M has better blacks and TCL is brighter. Smart functionality aside which one do you pretty watching content on? Which has better picture quality/experience in your opinion?

The P65 should is a better TV than both M and TCL 6 but I would've bought either of those if Costco still has stock. Just sold my 55 Vizio M and I loved it just wanted a bigger set.

I just had a section of the local dimming backlight of my 16 month old 70” vizio die. It seems like a problem on a bunch of their models. I would avoid based on my experience.

Just had a Vizio develop some uneven backlighting issues shortly before the 1 year warranty was up. They offered to replace the TV but due to COVID and not wanting to expose their techs they sent me a cheque for the purchase price of the TV. Sucks that the TV had this issue, but pretty solid of them to just cut me a cheque without a return.

I have the p759-g1. Got it during black Friday and love it. Like others have mentioned, get the warranty from Costco, it's actually only $60 because the TV is below $1000

I had a similar experience pre-COVID with a Haier (excellence plus warranty in its 3 year). The sent a tech, couldn’t do anything, and then sent a cheque. I parlayed that into a new M series Vizio and the picture difference is night and day. You’re damn right we bought the extended warranty again.

And we use it with a sound bar and Apple TV, so I don’t care about the crappy sound and slow smart service.
