[Costco] Vizio Quantum X PX75-G1 $3,999.99

So after last week's deal expired, Costco is back with a better, 24-hour only deal on the Vizio PX75-G1 at 700$ off.

I was told by a Costco rep that the regular price for this model was 4899.99$ but according to this new deal, it'd be 4699.99$.

My guess is that it's probably the best we'll see until Black Friday.

How's this compared to the x900f (same 75inch, can probably get around 3499)

Pretty sure the PX is in a different league than the 900F. 900F would be more comparable to a regular P series vizio which are also all now quantum. PX is just top of the line.

If "top of the line" is only a $500 difference, then I'd really like to know what makes this better than the Sony.

Top of the line for Samsung for example, is like $7000.

The Samsung 900R is priced around USD $15,000.

...and Sony's XBR-98Z9G is priced at USD $69,999.

I think I'm ready to pull the trigger on this but I live in Quebec. According to customer service, it's not available in store at all so I can't go pick it up in Ontario.

I've looked at Canada Post's FlexDelivery service but they provide PO Boxes only so I can't have my order delivered this way.

Do you guys know of any kind of "drop off" delivery service similar to Freeport Forwarding but in Ontario?

That's right, these are in different leagues.

So how is the Visio top of the line and in a different league compared to the x900f?

You could try Penguin Pickup. Not sure if they have package limits though.

Thanks for the tip, I didn't know about them. Good thing you mentioned a potential package size limit... indeed this one is just over it. What a bummer!

Any other alternative?

The local ups store accepts over size and weight packages all the time. The owner of the store likes to do it for the community. So you could ask a ups close to the border. Or try calling Costco and see if they can deliver it to a store close to the border. I'm sure they have options. They want the sale no doubting. Maybe they can override the websites restrictions.

hard to justify the $2500 premium for 10 inches.... if it was an 85 inch...

Hard to buy this early in the cycle knowing that Vizio pricing eventually falls off a cliff. This set looks great but for similar price point, I'd probably opt for the Sony X950G or X900F.

That's what people were saying last year about 65" vs 55". Soon you'll be lusting for the upgrade to 85" from 75". You gotta pay to play, or make do with smaller size.

You're right, I'll look into this.

I was reading the fine print on Costco's website to confirm I could return in store in case of a problem and while I was pretty confident I could, I didn't know that you can return to any store worldwide! That got me to checkout Costco.com and the PX75 is 2299.99$USD, which makes it 3000$CAD. All in all, with taxes included, it makes it 1000$ cheaper to order from Costco.com and pick it up at Freeport Forwarding, which is closer to me than driving to Ontario anyway...
