[Costco] Vizio SmartCast 4K TV on sale at COSTCO

D series VIzios are bottom of the barrell. For that price you can do much better from TCL or Samsung.

Having bought a TCL I can assure that is the barrel's bottom, a complete piece of junk. With TV for home use stay with the ones made in Korea or Mexico.

The 55" has been that price for over a month. I guess most people know that the D series isn't very good.

D stands for Dumpster Fire.
E is decent.
M is good.
P is great.
PQ is brilliant.

I’m in the market for a 4K tv right now. I looked at a few in Costco and have had good experience with Samsung TVs they are great.

I’m looking at the M series 65 inch for $999 at Costco. Is that a good buy, what are some alternatives that are at that price range. I’m not looking to spend over 1k on a tv.

I bought Haier tv few years ago and the screen failed. Thankfully I had insurance with Costco and they sent me a check for the price of the tv I paid for. That’s why I’m sticking with Costco.

What are some alternatives?

E is for Extremely Mediocre

The 60 inch model was recently on sale for $499.99 in store.

Samsungs are good, but pricing can be a problem. I love the Samsung NU7100 but for TV usage the M is slightly better.

The M is the right choice, and that's the right price. Not sure it'll drop much further before they clear out entirely, but you have 90 days to price match or return and repurchase.

For $999, I'm not sure I have a good alternative for you, especially one with the fantastic Costco 5-Year warranty at $59.99.

The closest analogue is the more expensive 65" NU8000. If you can tolerate buying Amazon Warehouse Open Box return here's a listing at $1030 CAD (Prime Shipping).

Warranty is either 30 days or 1 year though, so the M-Series Costco TV is still the favorite.

How about for gaming? Been contemplating putting a tv in a separate room for the kids to play games on.

Yes sorry. If I didn't buy a PQ65 during Christmas time, I would have jumped on this. Literally half the price.

I don’t mind my M series 2018, but the dark scenes are pretty rough. The bloom
is very noticeable. Next time I’d just save up for the P or whatever.

I'd watch the same troubling scenes on a P series before buying... It doesn't bother me a tonne, because I know I'd have to pay alot more money to avoid it, but the bloom is pretty noticable, especially on a loading wheel (Xbox) or scrolling status bar.

Sold out. There was a run when it was discounted heavily. A beautiful monster of a panel... I think it sat at $1499 at one point.

This is less of an issue on the P-Series with the greater dimming zones.

Between TCL4, Vizio E and hisense tvs that Costco sells, whats your best bang for your buck?
