[Costco] [WARM] Sony 65, 75 and 85 in. 4K HDR Google Smart TV X95J $2498, $3298, $5198

Finally, Sony started to drop their prices on flagship Led tvs 65, 75 and 85 in. 4K HDR Google Smart TV X95J $2498, $3298, $5198 respectively. As you can see the highest drops are $800 for 85, $700 for 75 and only $100 for 65 in. IMHO, this makes 75 in best buy for now considering the price and discount ratio.

These will be in demand so, Black Friday comes they may not be in stock. I would think the good strategy would be to buy less than 30 days before Black Friday and do price match.

I think 65 in will drop more for BF but, I doubt it will be below $2100. I think we could expect $3000 for 75 in.

Links to Costco listings but, the prices are effective for all retailers.

So how does this compare with the X90J? Just want to see if it's worth the $800 difference on the 75 inch.

If I was spending 5k, I'd be getting the 77" OLED.

With the OLEDs around same price these are a weird value proposition

For 65 in current pricing has no sense but, I think further reduction is possible by BF. For 75 in $700 is making more sense. IMHO Sony will bump the price up for OLEDs and lower for LEDs by BF, more for 65 inch and couple of hundreds for larger.

Just gonna add my 2c here as I'm considering x90j vs x95j, there is a difference between the x95j 65" and 75" and that is reflection handling for those with bright rooms with different light sources you would have better reflection handling with the 75". So if I was going to compare the x90j 65" with the x95j 65" then I think I'd take the x90j for its better contrast and price combo.

I am ready to pull the trigger for one: XR85X95J or OLED77C1AUB. Which one? I am sitting about 10' from the TV. Will be using it for movies, shows, and PS5.

from my perspective

x95j against x90j offers more dimming zones, a wider viewing angle and twice the speaker wattage (50W / 25 W)
if you are sitting straight on, using a soundbar and not a perfectionist about the screen details but close enough, you'll be ok with the x90.

x95j against a80j, the x95j has as close to an oled as you'll get although not quite as perfect, but perhaps a longer life proposition as i think the oled quality will degrade over time.
if you intend to upgrade your tv in 4 or 5 years then the a80j is for you.
if you are nervous about burn in and worry even at the channel id on the corner of your screen (not even the cnn news ticker) or you want a shot at your tv lasting 8 or 10 years then the x95j is for you.

x95J I am hoping drops more, sony is overpricing the 65 inch, hopefully it drops to around 2100 soon.

At this price point, the A80J and X95J are pretty much the same price, so not sure who is buying the x95J.

I don't think I'll jump to X95J, probably stay with X90J.
Just debating if I should get 65" or 75".
I'm at 10' from the couch to the tv bench, so technically should be 75".
Any pros/cons to either of those sizes?

Damn, got 75" X95J two months ago from Costco. $700 drop is a lot, and on costco website says only 30 day price adjustment.
Are they really forcing me to buy and return to get that adjustment ? :(

Call them, but for $700 it sure looks worth it to return it.
