Costco has the $100 shop card so cheaper at Costco. Use that $100 for the extended warranty for 5 years so good for at least 5 years

100x better than Haier, TCL, RCA and stuff.
I've always found Samsung quality to be meh - the displays get lines showing very soon
LG and Sony have always struck me as the best quality.

It's got crap contrast and lots of glare but otherwise it's a decent TV

The big plus is won't burn in, big size, good warranty, good brand, and good response time for gaming.

Requires time to setup and dial colours in

It's crazy that we are still not seeing deals on the x900h in Canada. The 85" x900h was selling for $1999 USD while the 75" was selling for $1299 on costco.com. It was even cheaper in store if you could find it.

If the border was open, I would have went down to pick one of these up.

I believe the 85" panel is VA which means good contrast ratio. However it doesn't have local dimming. Nevertheless it's still a solid tv if you just want a big screen to watch sports/movies etc...

I wanted to buy a 85 inch x900h which was on sale for 2999$ for awhile. Wanted the price to go down more but now it seems to be sold out everywhere and is discontinued. Now thinking if I should jump on this or wait for the 75 inch x900h or x950h to go on sale…

Hows this compare to the Samsung TU9000 86inch. I know that panel is 120hz...

So you think the contrast should be a lot better than the rating on that site? Glare would still be not the best?

yes Va panels in general have great contrast ratio, but they do suffer when it comes to off viewing angles. Not sure about glare but since this is sony's "lower end" model, glare should just be avg. Usually the higher end tvs have the better anti-glare coating.

900H is better but it's sold out now and I guess, discontinued.

Yeah I’m having a hard time deciding between the x950h 75 inch or x900h 75 inch priced around $2500-2700 or buying this x800h 85 inch for $2100.

Oof, glad I got the 900h when I did. It's a great television.

I'm having this same dilemma right now too. Did you make a decision? Seems impossible to find the X900H 85 inch now.

Same. I waited and waited for a sale and then new models come out. Now to wait for a X90 sale.

I'm kinda in the same boat. Want something decent for the basement. Movies/ Xbox One. Is this model much better than the 75" Sony that was on sale at the beginning of the month?

https://www.costco.ca/sony-75-in.-4k-hd ... 77594.html

Does it justify the $900 difference for 10"?

Thoughts?
