[Costco] West (BC, AB, MB, SK) (Oct 28 - Nov 1) (146)

Richmond:

Sorry, Rfders. I've been busy working on my reselling business.

Lots of good deals this week.

If you live in Richmond, they are hiring for the Christmas season at Riverrock casino 9:30 AM.
FYI: My friend who works at Costco as a supervisor is making at least $70k annually. He has been working there for a long time now. He got promoted after 3 years of working FT.
Great benefits too. I remembered him saying, " Costco will match 100% or match 50% of your RRSP or RESP investment.

If you want to be promoted as a store manager, you won't have a chance in popular cities. IE Vancouver or Toronto or Calgary.

If you are a student with proof, you can work on the weekends only. EVERYONE wants to work on Sunday.
Shorter hours during the day but they do have night shifts. Basically open 24 hours.

I love how they sell pork rib strips now, we used it for soup and stir fry dishes! We always had to go to butcher shop for those, but not any more!

I noticed the Timberland wallet that was on sale a few weeks ago is back in stock for the same price.

Bad enough going into the store every week to buy stuff, can't imagine going daily to work in that place.

Minimum wage in BC is $13.85 or rounded up $14 an hour,

I thought first level Costco employees were paid more than $15/hour.

This sounds too good to be true. My employer maxes out at 4.5% RRSP matched contribution.

Does anyone know if a reusable water bottle from Costco.ca available in the store? Thanks
No need to type thank you; upvote=thanks.

My sister used to work there part time, and basically the way it works is you start out with a temporary part-time position at ~$15/hour and work your way into a full time, permanent position which starts at ~$20/hour (this is in AB so wages may differ).

According to the handbook she got wages seem to max out at ~$26/hour. It can take several years of part time work to get a permanent position though.
