Ymmv. Costco Samsung Tab A 10.1 32gb $238 after $60 Costco shop card. They send or credit it to 10 to 15 days after the purchase

Model: SM-T510NZKAXAC

Seen at Costco. Most places are ~$300

Picked one up to replace my Fire tablet 10. 90 day returns at Costco if you don't like it.

I haven't tried the Amazon Fire, but I think you get what you pay for. Samsung is the best Android tablet IMO. I had a samsung, a lenovo and an ipad. iPad is the best, fastest, best screen, best battery life, but most expensive. Samsung is comparable, but not quite as slick as the iPad.

Lenovo and Fire have less features, are slower and just not as good.

Which Lenovo do you have? I ordered a 10" Yoga Smart Tab from the other deal, 4GB 64GB which seems decent, but I don't know how well the Lenovo software runs.

Good tablet. Very midrange, the processor, the screen, the battery, the speaker placement.

I totally agree with this statement. I bought this one a couple months ago and tried to use it for a couple days. It was so slow and laggy so I returned it. I would not recommend it.

Lenovo Tab e10. It was cheap, like $100. I thought it would be good for the kids for watching the odd show, but now we are home all the time and they use it for e-learning and it's totally inadequate. Really slow to load, and battery dies really quick.

I have that tablet as well, it is slow. It works but its best used when you know its limitations. The battery life is adequate i found, 6 hours a charge more or less. The Tab A easily doubles it if not a bit more.

I purchased the 8" version for $180 including taxes using SPC card. IMO, it's a better tablet than the Fire HD 8" I purchased not too long before. It has Google Play store, which the Fire HD doesn't have (yes I know there's other ways to install it). Larger screen than my phone for when I workout and watch Netflix. Basic capabilities for a decent price.

After doing some research, I would say both the Fire 10 and this are considered just budget based 10" tablets.
Both are octacore/2gb/32gb specs.

imo, best low-end budget tablet is Fire 10 when it goes on sale for $149-159 at staples and you can stack a coupon on top. Once you debloat it with the toolkit, add google services and nova launcher, it basically just act like a normal android tablet. It does multimedia stuff just fine.

This Samsung tablet is more of a premium budget tablet with better camera and size/feel, but rather similar hardware otherwise and it's about $100 more than the Fire 10 when it's on sale like this.

Depends on if you feel ~$100 is worth paying for the upgrades.

Octacore means nothing, what are the processors like compared in benchmarks?
