[Costco] [YMMV] Smart Dimmer Switch 3-way (2 pack) for $14.97

Saw this price at local Costco [Edmonton , Yellowhead and 149 Street].

Quite a few left.

Did a quick search to see if this is a repost.. did not find any.

I just wish Costco would bring back the non-smart dimmer switches. I'd gladly buy 20 of them at 2/$15 but they only seem to carry smart switches now. I can't use smart dimmers as I do not have a neutral wire at my boxes.

+1 (plus against most "smart" household items that I want "dumb"...already the IT guy for enough things around the house)

Thanks OP grabbed 6 packs last night. Hopefully they work fine. Needed for my basement development and can't find anything close to this price wise.

They are also flashable with tasmota which can be connected to Home Assistant with MQTT. I purchased it about a month ago and can confirm that it's flashable over the air and no soldering required.

Thank-you for the post.
This is a heck of a great deal!
I picked up three packages of them at the St. Albert Costco, and there were lots more there.
Stay safe!

These kinda suck.. when you strip the wires and plug them into the switch, it comes loose and pops back out.

don't know if it was already mentioned in other costco threads, still hate the rfd search tool.

the canadian made screwdrivers was going for 20$ and stud sensor for 15$ at laval store.

No way. The screw is there to secure them. If they popped out then they're too short or someone forgot to tighten the screw.

Even with the screw fully tightened, the wire still comes loose. I made sure to leave a good length. I wire switches at work very frequently. This only happens with the Costco ones.

Was just at Costco St. James in Winnipeg and they still had stock at around closing time. Can confirm the $14.97 price in Winnipeg West.

Thanks OP, going to head there tomorrow to do a price match on these as I bought a bunch when they went down to $24.97. $7.50 per smart switch is an amazing deal. Being able to flash them with Tasmota (which makes them compatible with Home Assistant and Smartthings) makes them a KILLER deal!

Ah man, I can get these to work with Smartthings!? Thanks for mentioning that.

Do you happen to have a link for a guide on how to flash them? Or what keywords I should use.

Do make sure that the clamp is facing inward by loosening and tilting the switch otherwise when you tighten, nothing happens...the stripped end needs to sit in between the inner clamp and the outside if they are designed the same as the other WIFI switches from the same manufacturer (WF500D)
These also needs slighty longer stripped ends, about the same as when looping around a screw iirc.
