CRA phone lines full?

CRA phone lines full?

Have been trying to contact the CRA reps to have personal details updated in my file for CCB but cannot wait on queue? The AVRS just tells me to call back later after a good 10 minutes per call going through all the menus.
Can't do the update online and need to talk to an agent. Why can't CRA have a call back like Stooples?

this morning called at 8:30am and already 2 hour waiting time online? I have things to do and not a good option to stay on the phone waiting.

They don't use the callback feature because it could be measured and lead to accountability. Can't have that.

Have had a similar experience for the past 2-3 months...I've waited on hold multiple times for 30 minutes to over an hour and had to hang up each time.

I had the same experience. The only difference was that I didn't hang up after 30 min of waiting; the line mysteriously got disconnected and it happened multiple times. I have given up any hopes of talking to an agent.

Had to contact cra this morning after getting locked out of online account (. Used wrong password one too many times). They offer a callback feature inputting your phone number and rep called back in 10 min.
