Cracked iphone x screen-repair it or replace?

Have a 64gb iphone x and screen got cracked. Apple’s repair price is $365+tax. I’ve always found 64gb too low.

Options Im thinking - 1. Should i get a used 256gb iphone x that will last me another couple years
OR
2. New iphone 12 that will last me 3-4 years and apple wont stop the updates? Another iphone x will be half the cost of iphone 12.

Appreciate your advice.

I have an XR crack, I just replace it. 365 is too much. I pay the remaining balance and got a new phone with gift card to offset the device balance I pay.

REPLACE it.

It'll be be cheap, washed out Chinese aftermarket screens, but have you tried the cell phone repair ads in Kijiji?

And buy a new one
On your new phone. Use a screen protector.

I tried once! Paid $65 for 6s plus screen, after a month phone just died. NEVER tried it again. Now I rather bring it to apple or Samsung or worst is pay the device balance and get a new one.

I've had positive experiences at 2 different places with replacing shattered screens of iPhone 5, 6s, 8plus.

1 in Langham Square, and other Woodbine & Highway 7 mall.

The screens were definitely washed out compared to the original, but for $60 it made sense -- never had any functional issues.

I would replaced the screen by third party and sell it ASAP.
