Credit cards that check TU only?

Hi...I'm a fairly new permanent resident to Canada, currently have ~4 decent revolving cards (including one nice card from AMEX Bank Canada) but with "not great" limits. My utilization is about 20% at present with about 30 months (2.5 years) of history on my credit file.

Thinking of applying for a new card..wondering what the best options are for banks/cards that only check Trans Union as my TU score is currently about 40 points higher than Equifax, for reasons I don't fully understand..(both reports look more or less identical to me).

Have been reading through this forum and finding tons of great info. Have not found a thread addressing this specific question. Apologies if I missed it and am asking a redundant question.

So far, it seems like BMO checks TU only...please correct me if I'm wrong about that. Have not identified any others.

Thanks in advance for any replies!

Check the Credit Card sub-forum. There's a stickied thread about this.

What's your score range?
620 vs 660 is much different, 800 vs 840 doesn't change anything decision wise. Limit might be different

BMO most certainly does not pull TU only.
In fact it’s rare to see them pull TU.
They are more an Equifax user for their inquiries, but may pull TU if for whatever reason they can’t match you to your Equifax.

For credit cards, banks that are most likely to pull TU are, RBC, ScotiaBank, Brim, MBNA, Tangerine.
I’m sure there’s more I’m missing, but that’ll get you started.

Agreed. BMO pulled TransUnion and Equifax for me both times I applied for cc or personal loan. My credit history is only two years old. May be that's why...
Scotia only pulled TransUnion for me. May be other users can chime in.

Recently applied for an American Express credit card and they checked my TransUnion credit file.

High 600's, most months. Sometimes crosses over in to the low 700's. I believe I'm not scoring higher because I simply don't have much credit history, and all I have are revolving accounts (no mortgages, or auto loans, etc., only a handful of credit cards with pretty low limits.)
