[Canadian Tire] Glasslock and Anchor Hocking Glass Container Sets $15-20

Canadian Tire is having a sale on various glass container sets from Glasslock and Anchor Hocking.

I haven't seen Glasslock at my local Costco in a while so this has been next best deal:
Glasslock 8 piece set $17.99

Anchor Hocking 15 piece set $19.99:

I picked up the Anchor set mainly because I dislike having to remove and clean the silicone seal on Glasslock's.
Hoping the Anchor 'premium' Trueseal lids hold up better than their regular ones which are terrible (cracks easily).
Reviews are very positive for both the Trueseal and Glasslock.

As in, if the glass is frozen and I lick it, will it taste of sage?

Good question...I would also like to know this.

I think they meant is it freezer safe

While you can get a galss lick freezer sage, the Anchor Hocking description says it includes a dry erase market. I've always wanted a dry erase market.

I can`t believe I`ve never read the galss lick freezer sage thread. Such epicness.

Anyone have long term experience with either of these sets?
One review said the Anchor had the best air-tight seal initially but became bad after 50 times in the dishwasher.
The Glasslock does have a few complaints of the latch breaking or the silicone seal growing mold.

The set has 1 7-cup (1.65L), 1 4-cup (946mL), 2 2-cup (470mL) and 3 1-cup (236mL).

The online description may be wrong for the 8pc Glasslock. I'm going by memory only but I could've sworn that the store version had 2 square shaped (~700mL and ~900mL) and 2 rectangular (~700mL and ~900mL).

I have a couple of the Anchor sets, the lids are pretty good. However I don't push it by throwing the lids in the dishwasher.

I only have a few NON-trueseal Anchors, the lids (also red) are horrible!

Good to know. Thanks.

Agreed about the non-Trueseal Anchor lids; I don't have a single one that isn't cracked.

I'm in the same boat. Clearly not dishwasher sage.

OP Thanks, I purchased the Anchor 15 piece set this afternoon. Lids and overall quality seem pretty good.
