I was able to get MioPocket 3.0 installed without too much trouble, in case anyone was wondering about hackability.

I bought one today for 119.93$ in South-Shore, Canadian Tire Brossard (Blvd. Leduc) in Dix30. There were still some left, if you want to buy one.
I will try tomorrow to get the price difference, hope others will let me know where the item is sold for the special price of 59.93$.
Hi,
I bought one BNIB this morning at CT( Pie IX and Jean Talon) in Montreal for $59.95 plus tax. Their inventory should show approx. 46 in stock. The computer showed the price of $119.95, but the manager of the auto dept. brought it to the cashier to override the price. CT at Langelier and J. T. have only one, but box is not plastic wrapped. You have seven days to return it if box is not opened. Good luck.

This is clearance, not advertised in any flyers I believe.

Nice I got one BNIB at Warden & Eglinton. Showed 8 in stock and they brought out 2 of which I took one. Matched the $59.93 price with no fuss. Looked like Scarborough had a few too.

Actually, it is in a "4-days only" Mon-Thurs flyer supplement in Toronto.

I am not sure if this GPS is a good one.

It's terrible if you don't hack it, otherwise, it can be an iGO, Navigon, Garmin, whatever you want it to be. If it's the rebranded Omni/GoNav, the dual processor should be quick for navigation, specs:

Plays divx and mp3's. Don't know about the other navi software but iGO has multiple languages including German, Cantonese, etc... if your parents are old-school.

MioPocket 3.0 frontend
Keep in mind the GPS software themselves are not allowed to be linked on RFD.

Thanks OP, picked up two in Ottawa today for 59.99, which they said should indicate a wider (national ?) sale, whereas the .93 would be store clearance ones. They had to find them back in the warehouse, had 7 or 8 on-hand. All the associates and cashier said, wow, great price on a gps, so not sure if any of them will pick up the rest...

Got one for my uncle and my mom, might open one up to preload with songs and pics.

CPU is a Centrality, ARM926T-AT4X0A which is 400MHz.
Correction: Looks to be running at 324MHz, as reported by the Divx player in MioPocket.

I'm seeing conflicting info on the CPU and can't seem to find anything on the internet. Is your information from the manual? If it's 400MHz then that's good news.

I went at the same location, the price was still 119.93$ but it was adjusted to 59.93$ when I paid at the cashier.
