Custom Slipcovers

Hi - anyone know of any companies that do reasonably-priced custom slipcovers in the GTA. We have an old love seat that has some sentimental value and looking for something cheap and not too fancy to cover it. Because it has some unusual arm rests and measurements the surefits do not work. Thanks

"Custom" and "cheap" are inversely related.

What about taking dimensions and going to a local sewing shop?

OP - you should indicate what you are willing/expect to pay. Generally slipcovers can easily cost as much as a new love seat or sofa. What you need to look at is the construction of the love seat to determine whether it is worth the cost - in many cases it is, particularly with the better constructed furniture made in the past. But sentimental value cannot be measured. Just be prepared.

I have seen the shocked looks on the faces of people shopping at Potato Skins on Mount Pleasant in Toronto. For some reason they travelled to the store thinking that the prices would be low - around $200 for custom-made slipcovers for their sofas. I asked but was not shocked because I already knew and did not go ahead.

$200 seems cheap. My Ikea ones we got to cover my University furniture when first married were $80+ a piece and that was almost 15 years ago.

4 years ago I was looking to have custom tarps made from a place in the 416/905 to cover our stupid expensive patio furniture. The prices were coming to about $450 for the weight and style I wanted. It wasnt something they had done before, but they were willing to do it and warranty their work for 4 years. Compared to the $150 I was paying at cost for the manufacturers covers that lasted maybe 1 season I was ok with it. Wife wanted to wait as this was end of season. The next Spring I contacted them again and suddenly this was a part of their business and the custom covers were now $1,000 for what I wanted. I missed that business plan :(. Still worth it at $1000 as they did a 10 year warranty and custom fit everything.

I think $300 would be the max given that the couch itself can't be worth more than $50.
