Looking for a good VPN service to use for US Netflix streaming and Kodi, and came across CyberGhost with a decent promo on the 1 and 2 year subscription.

$42 USD for the first 2 years or $35.88 USD for 1 year. Works out to $1.75/month for the 2 year option.

Not an expert, but supposedly does not keep any logs, seems to work for Netflix US, and seems to have good reviews and on the top 10 list of best VPNs for 2018 according to TechRadar: http://www.techradar.com/vpn/best-vpn

Would love to hear from other people that have had experience with it.

Used it all last year, got a subscription from some humble bundle for a year premium, my favorite VPN to date. Works with torrents, has decent speeds, I however did not use it for location spoofing whatsoever so I can't attest to how effective it is for that.

Just pulled the trigger on the new subscription, thanks for the post!

Was with them for 5 years, were great, in fact the best I had tried UNTIL they were sold last year and the speeds went real slow. Since then people have moved on and Cyberghost have lowered their prices. I was paying close to $100 for 1yr, the best deal I would get was $69. Now they are basically giving it away which doesn't surprise me.

You sure about US Netflix ? I thought most of them it's a cat&mouse game.. They work for a while, then netflix blocks them.. They get a new set of IPs, and then blocked again...

Unless something has changed recently.

I used them a few years ago, and they were average. it was a hit and miss on speeds, depending on server. I don't use VPN any more, since I don't do much torrenting any more. And my streaming is mostly from local servers (no p2p). And some IPTV services.

Is there anyone who is currently using CyberGhost VPN that can give their opinion on current service? Not looking for something lightning fast. I don't download torrents and such much, but do want enough to stream video content.

Have used it for about 6 months with no complaints. You can always give it a free trial run and see how it works for you.

I have been using CyberGhost for several years now and I am very pleased with the service. The promo they have now is very good.

I like using Private Internet Access VPN its more secure, anonymous and they don't keep logs on users!

PIA is in the USA under the 5 eyes

Nord VPN is in panama in not of in the "5,9,14 eyes" country.
Nord is also 2.75$ per month when you take a 3 yrs packages. https://join.nordvpn.com/order/?coupon=3ydeal
I had pia and netflix wouldn't work, with Nord netflix work in USA and france (country I've tested so far) and the speed is about 3 times faster on nord vpn on my gigabit connection compared to PIA.

I have been using IPVanish, it is decent but I am paying $70 a year, I will have to find a cheaper one once my subscription is up.
I'm not much of a espionage spy, I just didn't like getting Telus' emails.

I'm interested! New to the VPN game though... if I were to get this service anyone know how to install on a router so all traffic will go through?

If you look at SlickDeals, there are long discussions about how bad PIA has become as they [suspect] it is over-subscribed.

For Netflix, Hulu, etc getting a Smart DNS would work better. I am using IronSocket and I use their Smart DNS 95% of the time and I only use the VPN when I am traveling.

Their support is pretty quick, a ticket usually get answered within a couple of hours. Usually it's related to DNS issues and one time they discovered it was my problem.

I used them before (free version) and it's pretty decent. However, I use SoftEther VPN which is free and it works just as well.

Tried multiple since. This is best for security but it is pricey, speed isn't too bad either https://stacksocial.com/sales/perfect-p ... free-trial (30 day free trial) no cred card needed which is good.

the 2 fastest I have tried are ExpressVpn (pricey) and Nord Vpn. I have tried a few, probably around 20, if you want speed, stay away from the lifetime, 3yr, 5yr cheap ones (under $50). You get what you pay for.

Nord I am expecting to be US based before long as they have already partly moved there. As of now though, their "headquarters" are in Panama

Disappointed to find this does not work with Amazon Fire TV, other than through an OpenVPN router. Will probably be refunding it and looking for another solution for FireTV.
