[Amazon.ca] CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD PFC Sinewave UPS 1500VA Mini-Tower - $179.99

I thought this was a solid deal and only available today so wanted to share with RFDers. I don't need something quite this advanced so I am passing until a lower end model goes on sale but for those of you looking at something like this, seems like a hot deal to me.

Been waiting for a deal on one of these for a long time. I even have it on an Amazon wishlist. You'd think they'd send some sort of notification when a wishlist item is on sale, but whatever.

Have had the same series 1000VA, 1350VA, 1500VA models - 0 issues and make my APFC power supplies happy (no big buzz noise compare to square sine wave ones). The power wattage measurement is abit off from my KillAWatt meter tho.

Just over 2 years for me still going strong. Had a few brown outs and 2 power outages and could still play games for 12mins with no whine coming from the unit.

For some price history, I bought two of these for the same price from DELL on Dec 29.

I bought one of these from amazon.ca for $155.99 on November 30th, so be aware they might go lower if you're patient. Excellent unit, I have two of them. Big & heavy!

Bought it for $71 a week ago. I believe it was a price error, but they still shipped it!

TLDR,

If you have a recently built PC with a very efficient power supply, you will need PFC instead of AVR UPS or risk power supply damage.

This was a hot price, I paid close to $300 for this but I need it on the spot and can't wait.

I got the 1000 version from the previous amazon deal, Great UPS.

I setup it over the weekend to my home server - but noticed that the from some reason the software says that the UPS is connected then not connected at random. I tried all of the USB ports etc, and they all show the status and work fine, but after some time the UPS software does not see the connection and cant show me the status of the UPS. Any thoughts on how to solve this?
