+1 Yi chargers and cables aren’t proprietary, use any. I’m running a longer cable and dual charger single port.

I got the answer from BMW forum. Their socket is deeper.

Has anyone had any experience with the RSC ichigo dash cameras? They seem to have 1080p/60fps, and Sony STARVIS for nightmode.. the only drawback I see so far is the lithium battery instead of the supercapacitor

Does anyone here have a rear dash cam with read window tinted? How much will this affect video quality? This will be used on factory tint and possibly VIOFO A119s

TIA

Have the F770 and DR750S rears installed on OEM privacy glass. No issues with video quality.
The A129 has good video qualify so I do not anticipate the tint it affect video quality.

What's a good (bang-for-buck, quality) duo dashcam?
Been looking at the A129 for roughly $200.
Any other options?

That's being real specific with a lot of detail.

You can start by telling us what brand and model dash cam you're using. And then you can tell us how it's powered, and what kind of SD card you're using.
Then you can further describe when and how things started going awry.
Tis banana is IRIE

I just bought a Viofo A129. Do you have any recommendation for someone who can do an install and also hardwire. I am looking for installation in GTA for a Hyundai Ioniq.

Electric or Hybrid? Wonder how your hard-wire will go.

It's a plug-in hybrid. I have a regular battery. I understood that I have to keep the highest setting for hardwire because the battery it's a small one.

Is Yi still considered to be a good wifi dashcam?
There will be a lightning deal today on amazon.
I have read some mixed reviews about not performing well in Canada’s cold (I am in GTA) and also wifi and ios app issues.
I would appreciate any comment. Tried to search the thread for ”yi” but did not work.

I’d get the A119 or A119s over the Yi

The A129. That's the one I ordered with the recent sale 8 percent ebates and the 50% off lens filter. Was under $200 all in.

This is historical. Capacitor, N-5Ghz Wifi, USB rear Cam (no brake wiretapping), optional BT button for $20, up to 256GB SD storage.

What more can one ask for?
