Is DC becoming more Gay than Marvel? Turn off to demographic of Comicbook core audience?

Why has DC shows such as Gotham and Supergirl to have it important in having it come to the forefront in their shows to have gay over tones to their main character?
The Penguin shown in the last 4 episodes that he has affections to the Edward "E." Nigma (https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q= ... 0283,d.cGw)

and
Supergirl's sister on the show just explained why she come out and then expressed to her crush very explicitly fashion.

Why does DC find it is good to expose these characters this way to their core audience of teen boys and some girls too?

Is it right to do this and why doesn't marvel see this important in their tv series or movies to explore this avenue in human psychology to their core audience being teens and younger adults who are not completely secure with their sexuality?

I know that Marvel has some gay characters such as the one in Alpha Flight (the twin) and DC in the Green Lantern but those were just confined to the comic books and not on main stream tv where most of the kids spend their times mindlessly copying behaviors from.

Who cares?

Didn't even notice until you mentioned it, but again I ask, who cares?

Your post also comes off as homophobic.

I don't mind it as long as it makes sense. I hate the Penguin/Riddler thing because it's so forced, Edward is clearly straight and Penguin is trying to convert him. It wouldn't go over well if it was the other way around.

I know as an impressionable young child I copied a lot of my behaviours from what I saw on the X-men, Batman, and Spiderman cartoons I saw on TV. I can't even count how many times I ran off to fight local street crime while also going to school like Spidey did.

TV shows they want to create for a mainstream audience not necessarily for the fans. Same goes with movies too.

I can't comment on Gotham, but as for Supergirl, it's the WB DC Universe norm. It really has nothing to do with the characters preference. It has all to do with them not doing relationships very well. Anytime lead characters get into one, all the segments feel like they were scripted from a bad episode of 90210. Way to much melodrama. It doesn't matter what gender they are into, if their straight, gay, bi or whatever. The WB DC Universe doesn't generally do relationships well... which is why they should avoid them :)

SJWs have infiltrated almost every niche that used to be the apanage of regular straight men (videogames, sports, etc), this is just one more. But yet there is poetic justice as every niche they infiltrate inevitably begins to decline as these same men who are being force fed these propagandist messages stop paying for it anymore and buy other things with their money.

thats a serious problem though. unfortunately the hardcore fans are a smaller, niche group. put we support franchises like no one else does though.
