Delay in paying bills from Tangerine Checking?

This is about paying credit card bills from a Tangerine Checking. Sometimes the transfer would be right away (such as today). Other times the transfer is scheduled for next day (like tomorrow).

I just initiated a pay bill from my Tangerine Checking to my Scotia MC but Tangerine scheduled it for tomorrow 13th.

Why is it so random? TD doesn't do it, it just transfer right away (as in today)

Canada, Eh!!
Perhaps if early in day it is same day else next day.
.......
July 13, 2017 to October 25, 2018: BOC raised rates 5 times and MCAP raised its prime rate next day each time.

2020: BOC dropped rates 3 times and MCAP waited and waited to drop its prime rate to include all 3 drops.

All banks have cut-offs. Today is Sunday so of course it will only be scheduled for tomorrow.

Only provincially. Not a federal holiday (banks are federally regulated).
