[Dell] $1325 XPS i7-11700 RTX 3060 Ti 16 GB RAM 512 GB SSD

EDIT: looks like party is over with the 16 GB option, but you can get a 32 GB one still for $200 more. Expensive for 16 GB extra RAM, yes, but at least it's an option.
snkhan wrote: XPS Special Edition in the white casing is showing a $600 discount coming to the dell price of $1800.

For $200 more, you do get 32GB RAM with this configuration.

Some might still be interested so you may want to update the OP.

Price is $1600 before 10% newsletter or uniday coupon plus 8% Rakuten cashback today which bring it down to $1325 + tax

Minus any credit card cashback bonus you may have - some Amex cards are having 10% credit on Dell purchases currently so potentially you could be end up paying only under $1200 for a 3060 Ti + 11th gen Core i7 system.

This machine has integrated graphics thus can still work as a snappy office PC with the graphics card removed.

Of course, like any Dell desktop thread, obligatory Gamer Nexus and Coil Whine videos:

The difference between this and the PC in Gamers Nexus series is that the graphics card is actually good. Teardown here:

Cooling upgrades:

The Dell OEM 3060 Tis that were in the G5s were always good. Just ask the miners who bought them all.

The Dell GPUs are fine, make sure you upgrade to liquid cooled on any of the Dell G-Series desktops.

Look for the occasional price error, Dell's pricing team is God's gift to RFD.

I'm hopeful they error out on a Dell ultrabook, as I cancelled (2x) 3080 T1 desktop orders due to lack of use.

I'm always confused about how to get dual channel ram. Do I just select 8GB * 2 option?

I’m pretty sure just a better air cpu cooler is sufficient for the G-series and XPS PCs. There are a couple threads on the dell forums with what others have tried and had success with.

Good air cooling is underrated, but there isn't a selection for that.

You either get garbage air cooling or slightly better water cooling.

Every other option is by your own hand and pocket book.

There’s a water cooling option for the g series directly through dell? I thought only the Alienware has that upgrade. Everyone on the forums have been doing a manual air cooling upgrade

Hmm... I thought both had the water cooling option.

If the G Series does not, I stand corrected.

I got pretty much the same one last Feb. Except it was obviously 10th gen i7, and the hard drive combo was 512GB nvme + 1TB hdd for $50 extra which doesn't seem available anymore (although I did pay $1699 before the 10%)

Then I decided to cancel but since the order was already "past that stage" they offered me a $150 credit instead so I took it.

The PC surprisingly worked well, all I needed to do was buy a cooler since they give you the stock one which is crap.

Hmm.. Dell should include that in the product code. Nvidia states that it should be listed at 3060ti LHR.

Do you have just the link to the deal? My adblocker won't let me open the link posted.

Inspecting the page source for this machine it shows this:
{"Name":"Video Card","Description":"NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 3060 Ti™ 8GB GDDR6","ProductCode":"GWEBNT5","Skus":["490-BGJU"]}

While an order I had earlier in February had this: 490-BGJT NVIDIA(R) GeForce RTX(TM) 3060 Ti 8GB GDDR6

So the SKU IDs are different. Whether the new one is non-LHR, I hope someone who orders this can confirm later on when they receive it.

Edit: NVM

Seems like the discount from Dell is no longer available. Showing the price as $1,949.99 now.

I ordered one of these in March.. and my card has the same part number as this one...
490-BGJU NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB GDDR6

It's definitely not LHR. :)

But .. my G5 desktop ordered in April is...
490-BGJT NVIDIA(R) GeForce RTX(TM) 3060 Ti 8GB GDDR6
