[Dell] $404.99 Alienware 24.5" Gaming Monitor, 1080P 240hz 1MS

Hey all, was looking for a gaming monitor for my new build and ended up pulling the trigger on this.
I get 240hz is overkill, but love the fact that this is an IPS panel instead of the typical TN panel and also has a solid build.

Adaptive-Sync Technology available: AMD FreeSync, NVIDIA G-SYNC

After Coupon Code: 10%offmonitor for $404.99 (+tax) instead of $449.99.

*not an expert on monitors by any means - just started getting into this, be gentle!

This isn't a good deal for a 1080p IPS monitor...

You can find 1080P IPS 144/165Hz FreeSync/Gync for around $200 now when they go on sale which is quite often. Since its Alienware brand name, they add so much extra to it.

Could be a bit cheaper but all monitors are a little overpriced right now. In case people aren't aware, this is about the going rate for these panels. These are the monitors that use the same panel:

Acer XV253Q X
Acer XB253Q GX
Acer XB253Q GZ
Acer VG252Q X
Dell AW2521HF
MSI MAG251RX
Lenovo Y25-25
ASUS VG259QM (280Hz OC, ELMB-Sync)
Acer XB253Q GW (280Hz OC)

Others have pointed out alternative options and prices, but if someone was dead set on this specific screen and deal

This was 429$ for weeks on end around black friday, weeks before, boxing day etc. Stackable with 10% coupon and 10% cashback from rakuten on numerous occasions at the time as well.

So definitely not all time low/not worth it imo

Is there? I don't seem to recall much sub 200 144hz recently.

OP, it would be helpful to put the price in the thread title.
