[Dell] Dell 48 Hour Deals "Day 1": 8GB Datatraveler $20, Dell M109S Projector $429...

[IMG]http://i.dell.com/img.aspx?p=07j8iIEALX ... bf9w%3d%3d[/IMG].

In a bit of a twist on the "Days of Deals" we're familiar with, Dell will feature "48 Hour Deals" -- 6 deals every 48 hours, starting on November 4.

The format probably won't deviate too much from what we're used to and maybe we'll get a little more sleep! "Day 1" Deals are live. The [rfdlink=55]Dell[/rfdlink] M109S DLP Projector is a very recently released pocket-sized 858x600 projector. It weighs under a pound and a little over a month ago, it was $499.99. It's tempting at $429!

"Day 1" Deals As usual, shipping will be free for all items.

You must've missed my reply that's above you. It's SLOW. I have the same model but with 2GB and it's VERY VERY SLOW... My 5 years old Lexar JumpDrive is way faster than this... If I had bought this Kingston drive from FS or BB, I would have returned it... Too bad I got it from Newegg and it's a hassle mailing it back...

P.S. FYI. This USB thumb drive is NOT Vista ReadyBoost ready.

I have the 2GB version too.

It runs fast on one machine but very very slow on another machine.

On the slow machine, other USB drives are OK.

Didn't spend time to figure out why though.

Weblinks don't work for me, at least not at this time.

And then whenever I visit the DELL site directly, it takes too much effort to actually find the DEALS pages...no different with this 48 DEAL...when I'm at the DELL site, I'm at a loss as to where to find the deals. I must be a noob. :(

Anyone got a direct link to Dell's pages?

The Dell M109S DLP Projector seems a good deal. It comes with a 10000hrs LED bulb.

From the main page, scroll down to the bottom. Find "Shop column" on the left then click "Home & Home Office". This will bring you to the Home and Home Office pge.

Just below the navigation bar, there is a link to the deal. If you don't see it, wait a little bit it will change and eventually show the 48 hours deal.

Boring deals and now I have to wait 48 hours. I probably retired before I see some decent deal from Dell.
