So, i've been following the Alienware AW3420DW Nano IPS monitor since it came out last summer. It's already "discounted" this week for $1299.99 from it's outrageous $1699.99 regular price, but it can now be had for $1052 after 10% Rakuten and 10% off monitor coupon from Dell ("10%OFFMONITOR" ...now works for this monitor, didn't before). You also get $38 in dell rewards, so its final price is $1014.
Its predecessor, the 3418DW, uses an older LG panel. This 3420DW uses LG's newest Nano IPS panel for phenomenal color reproduction, ultra-low 2ms latency, 120hz guaranteed (not overclocked), and Dell's quality assurance. Best ultra wide on the market hands on.
This is the cheapest i've seen this monitor for, and i pulled the trigger today as i've been looking to get the best of the best but was waiting for it to come down to the $1000 mark. I've kept my last Dell monitor for 10 years now, so it's a good investment IMHO.
