TCC in the bios apparently fixes a lot of the thermal issues.

I had so many quality problems with Alienware. Their products could die anytime within warranty or out of warranty. It looks like a premium brand with high price tag but the quality is really big issue. Even all my Acer cheap stuff last longer than Alienware.

The good thing is they all comes with longer warranty and they replace it pretty fast.

Interesting. I bought the Dell G15 Ryzen Edition 5800H/3060 for $1449 + $100 for 4 years warranty, which is pretty darn close in price to this. Is it worth ordering this instead? The Alienware warranty options are way too $$$ so it'd just be the 1 year...

dont understand the 256gb.. seem like nothing for a gaming laptop.. games are like 20gb+ to 100gb these day and OS already take about half of that lol

Because Alienware is rarely, if ever, price competitive.

My experience with HP OMEN has been great and HP's extended warranties in Canada are priced very reasonably...

Yeah 256 GB is not a lot, but what OS are you using that takes 120 GB? My Windows 10 after countless upgrades and updates is at 30 GB. If installed brand new, should be what, half that?

It does come with two M.2 slots (though one of them is only 2230 in size) so it's possible to add extra space for less than what Dell would charge.

This is an excellent deal. The only thing to make it better would be ebates, however, it's at 2%.

I ordered this 2 days ago - the same machine (configurable) is $1799 on sale also. That's why this is locked in at $1599, unable to configure.

Got one with 3070, QHD screen, cherry MX keyboard for around $2k tax in, in August. This was after Dell refunded me $160+tax for delay.

In my opinion, for an actual deal - laptops with RTX 3060 - $1000 USD - laptops with RTX 3070 - $1250 USD.
I see deals like these or close to these on slickdeals all the time. Canada on the other hand...
Hoping the border is open before thanksgiving and hopefully i will be able to snatch a similar or better deal in US then. Patience ppl.
