[Dell] Amex $100 Credit (Spend over $750) + 3% Dell Rewards + 10% Ebates + 10% Off for Dell Days of Deals

I went into my Amex account yesterday and there was an offer for $100 credit on any purchase over $750 including tax and shipping from Dell. The Ebates rate right now is 8% and using the extension 'Honey' in chrome found another $25 off coupon for any computer over $700. I signed up for Dell Rewards as well which is supposed to give back 3% in credit.

I got one of the Inspiron 15 5000s which was 23% off

New Inspiron 15 5000
8th Generation Intel® Core™ i5 Processor
Windows 10 Home
Intel® UHD Graphics 620
15.6-inch FHD Non-touch Display
256GB Solid State Drive
8GB, 1x8GB Memory
Upgraded processor and memory giving you speed right when you need it. 1 Year In-Home Support included!

https://deals.dell.com/en-ca/productdetail/2g92

Used this code $25OFF$700PC

Subtotal: $948.99
Order Level Promotion: -$244.00
Shipping & Handling: $0.00
PST: $49.35
GST: $35.25
HST: $0.00
Total Amount: $789.59

So if I'm doing the math right I received $244 off from Dell. $100 credit will come back from Amex. $56.40 in Cash back from Ebates and then the 3% Dell Reward which may or may not be useful

Also of note, it can be cumulative between the offer dates:
To be eligible for a $100 (CAD) statement credit, one single qualifying purchase or cumulative qualifying purchases that total $750 (CAD) or more, after taxes [and shipping], must be charged to your registered Card at www.dell.ca during the offer period and subsequently posted to your account by 14/08/2019.

Might be worthwhile for anyone who has a the plain Amex card that is 8.99% and shows offers online.

Updated as Ebates is 10% now
Updated as you can sign up with your email to get 10% off. The code is wrong but if you use Chat support they give you a canadian one.

I think if you do this right you can get close to 50% off including the discount for the Day of deals.

I did the signup for the code and whenever I put it in it said 'This code is valid but not for the store you are using'

If someone can figure out how to make it apply that would be even better.

I did the same thing and the code you get only works on the Dell US site. Talked to chat, that was useless, they emailed me a coupon but it was only 5% off. There's obviously a problem with their Canadian website but talking to chat is like talking to a wall. If you don't have a coupon the best thing to do would be to call your order in and tell them you want the 10% off for email signup because the coupon they sent you won't work in Canada. Go to the US site, make a phony order and try the code you got, it will work there.

Sorry, how did you check your amex for the offer?

I currently have three AMEX cards and would love to get an offer!

This seems like an amazing deal!

I was considering just splurging for a T590, but at this price, this might be worth it and I wanted a 15" laptop.

edit; I found the offers page. My Marriott Bonvoy card had the offer on it! Thanks!!!! OP Now i'm considering it.

Also, the worry I have about using non-ebates codes is they deny your cashback...

Is that an issue? I think I might pull the trigger on this. This is a pretty great deal.

When I logged in to my Amex account online on the right hand side half way down it says 'Its Here, Introducing Amex Special Offers'

Then it shows all of the deals you can get. They are limited and you need to claim them onto your card.

I just got confirmation from Ebates for the $56.40 cash back

Looked many times... are there any good desktops that I can fit a decent graphics card (thinking of getting a 2070 some day) into? Especially with Ryzen 3000 series coming out - how are these deals vs building your own.

If you want to upgrade in the future you'd be better off doing a custom build. Find the parts that you want and the cheapest online price then order from somewhere like Memory Express that price matches. Memory Express also has prebuilt gaming rigs that would be better if you want to upgrade; they won't have a proprietary motherboard and power supply limiting upgrade capabilities like the Dells would.

I really appreciate your post!

I just grabbed one!

$735.83 taxes and shipping in.
-$58.80 ebates
-$100 credit via AMEX
= $577.03

Which is UNREAL for the specs and the new 2019 chassis!!!!

Same offer for me on my Gold card. YMMV, I guess.
