[Dell] Bose TV Speaker $299

Good price on the Bose, especially if you can get it when Rakuten has bonus cash back. They are $349 everywhere else. It's the smallest Bose soundbar, good for a smallish condo (you won't rock the neighbours) or single room. The sound is fantastic, BT works flawlessly and it's got a good range of connections.

for those looking for a bit cheaper, and don't mind refurbs, it's 259$ from Bose on eBay: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/353416562249

Bose refurbs are very good, brand new, and comes with 2 year warranty when bought from eBay

Even better if you have the 20% offer from RBC

Is this good to use for a PC setup as well? Movies and/or gaming?

I've always recommend the Logitech Z623 2.1sytem for a PC setup and it can be had for $200 or even less sometimes

can confirm, had this for 4-5 yrs now, still working good, bass is quite strong for any regular sized room, i dont ever dare to max it out. it does have the low hum turning into sharp distorted buzzing sound whenever i plug/unplug the aux cable, but thats normal

Don't know about that one. The pros and cons are probably similar to this. https://www.rtings.com/soundbar/tools/c ... shold=0.10
Because we use it mainly for TV and movies and streaming background music while doing other stuff the TV Speaker is better for us.

I find all of Bose sound bars a little confusing.

But mainly, the Bose Solo series 2 does not have HDMI for sound, or a port for a Bass module. Whereas the Bose TV Speaker does. The Solo series 2 does have coaxial input if you still use that.

On a positive note though, I'm happy both have gotten rid of those giant remotes. I have the Solo 5 TV speaker (another confusing name), and find the giant universal remote so unnecessary.

Bookshelf speakers will beat out sounds bars in audio quality. Sound bars are supposed to be more convenient.

If you are looking for something a little cheaper from Bose, their EBay store has the refurbished Bose Solo Soundbar II for $169 Canadian. I bought last November and love it.

I also agree, the Z623 is AMAZING, the sound quality and bass are so good. What's better is that I got a used one for $60.

Like @Skilas mentioned there is no HDMI for sound on this 1, unlike what they say in the ebay description.

I also got this last year for my bedroom TV, even better sound than i expected. I was leery getting a system without a sub-woofer, but great bass, treble, etc, nice full sound. Recommended.
