Completely pointless for XBMC.

You'll save like 2 seconds using it to boot xbmc.

If he boots up two times a day, that's 4 seconds saved. Multiply that every day per year, and he saved 1460 seconds (Or 24 minutes).

Well worth it I say! That's 24 minutes he'll never get if he didn't buy it!

I used a WD Black in my first build then upgraded to a SSD.

Boot is faster, but scrapping for tv/movie info was also faster

You forgot about multitasking! I would quickly go poop or microwave something during those 2 seconds to prepare for the movie/tvshow so that it isn't wasted. Those 24 minutes aren't gone if he performs an important task instead of waiting on the sofa!

Kingston V300 is pretty bad from what I hear. Is $60 a hot price for it?

Are these the RS 120? OR RS 126 II ?? The above quote, and the title and description on the dell product page all say "RS 120", but the Manufacturer Part # on the product page says: "RS 126 II"

On Amazon: So I think this is either a terrible deal or at best a very cold deal.

Agreed, the Dell product page for the Sennheiser phones is confusing. I would suggested starting an online chat with a Dell CSR for clarification if interested.

For the cost its a great deal. My nearly 5 year old 47" Samsung C750 has better picture quality... I almost bought the 55" LN5310 from Visions 4 months back when they had it on sale for $849. I took a USB in with a movie I knew well for quality and I was completely turned off, but at $499 for the 50" and not expecting the best picture quality then heck yah I would buy it.
