I just checked my rakutan account and was pleasantly surprised to see that they credited me the 8% cash back via "Dell Technologies For Work". Bringing my pre-tax total to $703.79 for the 4700U.

Nice. I Like! (spoken with Borat accent)

I sent this to someone inquiring about the Dell 4700U laptop panel.
Regarding the Dell Inspiron 15 5505 Laptop Screen

The screen is a 7/10 +/- 0.25

Certainly good enough for me, but nothing to phone home about.

It's one step below a good IPS laptop panel. With that said, a 2020 laptop TN / VA panel is still respectable, as this laptop proves to be.

If you're used to photo-realistic or media-professional panels, I'm sure this will disappoint you. I'm just a businessman, and I like the panel it comes with, coming through the door with modest expectations.

7/10 - This Dell Laptop
8/10 - A Good IPS
10/10 - A Good OLED

That is the price, and then you apply the Unidays code. By the way, if you are not eligible for the code, the big thread rule bans code 'begging' unfortunately (see first post, top of post).

Yeah I seen all those threads lol. I just meant in the first post and title, you still have the base price listed as 849.

The base price is $1,038.99 per the image.

That said, I'll update the title to reflect the $879 sale price, my bad.

I’m trying to customize it, add more RAM but it seems to be only one configuration.

With Black Friday about 1 month away if you don't need a laptop now would it be wise just to wait?

What lying sacks of **** at Dell. So much for End of Life configuration. They lied to me about an exchange etc. I only got my money refunded just this week and my return was sent September 25. It isn't about the parts. This is a good price for the parts inside. But now I understand why Dell can make things so cheap. They have non-existent NA side retail presence or support and unless you're a business customer, you're pretty much SoL if something happens.

why did this have to come back?!?! I was content grabbing a new iPad Air.

Now I need to decide if worthwhile at the listed price...

Thanks for letting us know it's back!

Rakuten is at 8%, men.

That's $727.81 + HST after Unidays (10%) and Rakuten (8%).

A beautiful price for a fully upgradeable Ryzen 4700U laptop supporting (2x) NVMe, (2x) SODIMMs, WiFi Card Upgrade, USB-C Power Delivery + Display Port 1.4 with 4K60 support.

Just brilliant.

P.S. This post was posted from my Dell Inspiron 5505 15" Ryzen 4700U connected to my LG OLED C8 55" TV-Monitor. They call it a well-lived life in 2020.
